you didn't matter. Well that's what is being done to animals. They are being tested on. Sometimes
scientist give animals radioactive material to eat to see how fast they die. If you know that the
animal is going to die, why would you do something so inhumane for no apperant reason?
On the other hand, what if you were being tested on to see if a new kind of medicine could treat

Some of the tests that people perform on animals are Acute toxicity tests, commonly called lethal
dose or poisoning tests. They determine the amount of a substance that will kill a percentage, even
up to 100 percent, of a group of test animals.
In these tests, a substance is forced by tube into the animals' stomachs or through holes cut into their
throats. It may also be injected under the skin, into a vein, or into the lining of the abdomen; mixed
into lab chow; inhaled through a gas mask; or introduced into the eyes, rectum, or vagina.
Experimenters observe the animals' reactions, which can include convulsions, labored breathing,
diarrhea, constipation, emaciation, skin eruptions, abnormal posture, and bleeding from the eyes,
nose, or mouth. This kind of testing is very inhumane, and for what porpose do they do this? PETA
tries to stop this kind of animal testing.
It is very diffucult to find a company that doesn't test on animals for unreasonable purposes. More

suppliers of meat. The average person can go to any grocery store at any time and have the
opportunity to buy food products made from cows chickens pigs or fishes. Factory farms in the
U.S enforce the slaughter of billions of animals per year for our consumption. As a result, animal
cruelty is the price we pay for cheap meat.

American Psychiatric Association in 1987 (McPhedran; 2008). Conduct disorder is defined as "a
repetitive and persistent pattern of behavior in which the basic rights of others are major age

of time, we have always relied on hunting down animals and plants to consume. However, as

Humans have been using animals for consumption ever since we have been around on the Earth. As
the populations of humans rapidly increases throughout many centuries so has the consumption
levels. Just within the last few decades has the awareness for animal rights gained tons of popularity.

There argument is that they need to make sure they are making legit food for our household pets
that is also beneficial to them. They claim nutrition research for animals is important, and most
people can agree, but they also claim it is not enough to just study animals that die from natural
disease. Iams, a leading maker of dog food, also claims they purchase and test on animals
specifically bred for experiments. Iams also told PETA they "Will continue to conduct laboratory
tests on animals." PETA's undercover investigation revealed dog's vocal cords severed so they

reasons why animals should not be used for food production and treated the way they are and
why the laws should be strengthened. On the other hand, we have been using animals for food

health risks and cleanliness of the factories need to be held at a higher standard, for everyone's
