News corporation is owned by
billionaire Rupert Murdoch and
his family. It owns newspapers,
magazines and TV networks
such as fox.

3.  I have chosen to do my case study on Apple.
Whichs designs and makes phones and
computers and computer software. They have
designed and created products such as the Ipod
and Iphone. They also created Itunes which is
used to store and sync music to apple products
aswell as other phones.

4.  Apple was founded in 1776 and the founders both
raised the money between them to found the
company.
 The company was taken public in 1980 in order
to help raise more money to create better
computers and expand the buisness.
 Apple is now a publicly traded buisness and is
owned by the shareholders. BillGates owner of
microsoft actually owns 51% shares in apple.
 Originally apple didn’t start as a media company
but as a it design company but with the
introduction of itunes it started to become a
media related company.

5.  Apple have lots of competition such as dell and
microsoft the main reason for the competition is
the price as a apple computer with the same spec
as a $300 computer could cost you $1000. some
of its main competitiors are dell and microsoft
although there are smaller computer companys
aswell. Although because they have expanded
more into a media company with the creation of
itunes that means they have other competitiors in
that field such as spotify and other legal music
download sites.

6. Apple has a wide range of consumers from people
with there own buisnesses from students. There
are many reasons for this because they sell so
many products they might only sell most Macs to
companys but there Ipods and Iphone products
appeal to everyone so it is very popular to the
general public. Another reason people buy apple
products is because if they have an ipod and see it
runs well they might want to get an iphone.

7.  Because apple operates in all corners of
the globe it changes all the time. This
caused apple to revalute its structure to
avoid bankrupcy.

8.  Apple recives a lot of bad press in the
news mainly because it is all designed
in California but it is all made using
cheap labour in china in what is known
as sweatshops. It has also been in the
news for trying to sue other companys
and accusing company of trying to steal
its ideas and designs.
