With over one billion daily users, Facebook is totally worth the
hype it has gained as one of the most acclaimed social media
channels considering the social platform.
What started as a social platform once for friends, family and
strangers across the world to connect has evolved today into a
robust channel for companies and marketers to advertise their
business and brand.
In addition to its advertising potential, Facebook works wonders
when it comes to business reputation management. When
leveraged properly, it helps boost customer engagement and loyalty.
However, with numerous other marketers and businesses already
promoting their brands, it can be challenging to cut through the
noise and grab some space in your audiences’ newsfeed.
That said, here’s how you can use Facebook to create positive
social presence and improve your business and personal
reputation.
 Identify Your Goals
 Build a marketing Strategy
 Know Your Target Audiences
 Define your call-to-actions
Identify Your Goals:
In order to implement effective practices, it is important to first
realise your goals for Facebook advertising.
it can be anything from brand awareness, click to website, page
likes to post engagement, product promotion and lead generation;
when you have objectives to track, you will be able to establish
proper actions to take in order to achieve your goals.
Build a marketing Strategy:
Whatever the intended outcome of your Facebook marketing
campaign, you need to make sure there’s the right technique to
reach your goals.
For example, to increase local awareness, you’ll have to target local
users. To get clicks to your website, you will need to expose vast
audiences to your brand and so on.
Know your target audiences:
No matter how hard you try, how big you invest, you are not going
to see any favourable changes in your online reputation if you are
marketing to the wrong people.
Monitor your customers’ activities and conversations to find out
what interests and works for them.
When you understand their specific needs and wants as
consumers, it becomes easier to target people who matter the
most to your business and in the most effective manner.
Define your call-to-actions:
be it sharing your posts, clicking through to your website,
subscribing for email alerts or downloading resources, be clear on
what you want your followers or customers to do when creating a
Facebook post.
Creating spot-on, catchy call-to-actions help encourage users to
click on your ad and take the proposed action.
