In collaboration with Saint Mary's Center for Cancer, Reno CyberKnife holds a collaboration with community physicians across specialties, including radiation oncologists, surgeons, pulmonologists, and medical physicists. 1. Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer: Lung Tumor Board
• In partnership with Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer, Reno
CyberKnife has implemented a multidisciplinary approach to
patient care, allowing Reno CyberKnife physicians to collaborate
with community physicians across specialties, including
radiation oncologists, surgeons, pulmonologists and medical
physicists.
• Held bi-monthly at Saint Mary’s Center for Health, a lung tumor
board allows specialists in radiation oncology, thoracic surgery,
medical oncology, radiology, pathology and pulmonology to
collaborate and evaluate each patient’s diagnostic images and
medical history to provide guidance on the best course of
treatment for the patient’s individual diagnosis. Participation
by multiple physician specialties improves the quality of
care for lung cancer patients through the contribution of the
management and outcomes process. In addition, the lung tumor
board provides education to all physicians in attendance.

of the month. Any cases that extend beyond this deadline can
be presented but pathology slides and/or radiology imaging
may not be available.
