This presentation was delivered at the 2014 Expatica "I Am Not A Tourist" Fair in #amsterdam
The #elearning explosion in recent years offers an amazing amount of opportunities to #expats. This is true #learning without borders. All you need is a computer, an internet connection and an interest. Whether you wish to pursue a formal qualification such as a university degree, simply learn something new or even teach an online class yourself, this presentation will take you through this fast growing phenomenon.
Renée Veldman-Tentori first discovered e-learning as an Australian expat in The Netherlands in 2002. She was one of the very first students for the Open University UK's "Open Learn" programme and has obtained a Bachelor of Business (Marketing & Tourism) through Swinburne University in Australia - completing half of the degree living in The Netherlands and the other half living in Australia. Renée is a social media trainer who created the Zestee Social Media School from scratch, building the website and course material herself, and has now taught several hundred students from all around the world online. She regularly follows e-learning courses online herself, and is closely following this fast-growing trend.
