Facts about penguin
• Flightless bird/Expert swimmers ( fins present but adapted to swims)
• Most live in southern hemisphere (Galapos island is the only place
towards north of the equator where penguins live except antartica)
• Presence of Black and White plumage serves as camouflage
• Female emperor travels 50 miles
• Estimated world population: 595000

Shape and size
• Oval in shape
• Average weight: 30 kg
• Average height : 115cm

Habitat
•Live in antartica(Only species of animal that never
leaves antartika)
•Temperature may reach upto -40 degree

Food
•They eat fish, squids and Krill
(And they are eaten by Leopard, seals, Polar bears,
shark, killer whales)

Common diseases
• Bacterial diseases(Enteric bacteria, Pasteurellosis)
• Viral diseases(Orthomyxoviruses, Arboviruses,
Herpesvirus)
• Helminths (Cestodes, nematodes, trematodes)
