ebooks – digitized versions of published books (same content). Come from the same publisher. Borrow for the library or buy online from online bookstores like Kobo or Amazon. All books are managed by digital licenses, preventing copying and (sometimes) sharing. ereading – reading ebooks, including digital copies of magazines and newspapers. Often on a mobile device, like a ereader, tablet, netbook or smartphone. Can also be read on your computer. Often interactive – many devices offer built in dictionary, note making, search function, video or audio, links to online content, etc.

Each device is different and will come with various software requirements, transferring or downloading practices, etc. Get to know your device by playing around with the various functions, then move to downloading ebooks. Most product websites have a full version of the user guide, FAQs and customer support contact information.
