2. Front Cover
• In my magazine the conventions I am
going to take from the kerrang front
cover are:
• Title – The mast head is very effective
because it is bold and quite graphic
and the main picture will overlay it a
bit to add layering to the cover
• Picture – I would use a bold picture
for the cover like a band or artist. This
will take up most of the cover but the
information will overlap the photo
using the layering function again
• Box outs – the box outs they have
used are very simple and quite
colourful

4. Contents
• In my magazine the conventions I am
going to take from the kerrang
contents page are:
• Over view – the overview of what is in
the magazine is very good because it
shows all the main information that
you need to know but its simple and
easy to understand
• Editors notes – this is an essential
feature to me because it gives a realist
touch
• Background image – this is vital as
well because it shows the main story
on a bigger scale

6. Double Page Spread
In my magazine the
conventions I am going to take
from the kerrang double page
spread are:
Big title – adding a big title
makes the illusion that it is
very powerful
Quote – the quote is used as a
summarising touch. This gives
a mood for the whole text so
you can read on happily
Picture page – this is a very effective use of framing because It will help to distinguish what
band the singer or artist is from
Bulk text – bulk text is used in most magazines and are very vital in my opinion
