3. What is a Little Free Library?
In its most basic form, a Little
Free Library is a box full of
books where anyone may stop
by and pick up a book (or two)
and bring it back. You can, too!

4. Why have one?
Our school system was
looking for ways to
reach out into the
community – during the
school year and during
the summer.
5. How do I get one?
We proposed ours
as an Eagle Scout
Project:
6.
7.
8.
9. We also have a
LFL inside our
school library for
friends with long
overdue books
How flexible is it?
14. Where do I get the books?
• Book drive by high
school students
• Book drive at your
school
• Retiring teachers
• A call for gently used
books from your
networks
(neighborhood, church,
clubs)
15. How do I store them?
I separate them
by grade-level
and store them in
boxes. When I
need some, I just
reach in the box.
