          in Egypt
         Prepared for
     Energy Efficiency Unit
      Cabinet of Ministers
Objectives

       The EE central unit
   at the Cabinet of Ministers
            aims at
The establishment of sectorial EE units,
   representing the different energy
consumption sectors, to be responsible
for energy related activities and its
     efficient use in those sectors
Methodology
• The EE Unit at the Cabinet Ministers and the
relevant ministries related to energy use
agree on the set of indicators that reflect the
efficiency of energy use in these sectors.
• The ministries will establish sectorial EE
units that will work on the development of
  plans, proposals and their implementation.
Also, they will work on compiling and
analyzing data on an ongoing basis for the
  continuous improvement of the indicators
  agreed upon.
