Sadly this is a simple minded proposition and fails to consider the geopolitical interests and palpable
intrigues of Empire that Obama manages for Western Finance Capital and the over 1000 bases the US
maintains abroad to regulate global control over its access to, and distribution of, Strategic minerals.
Moreover, the US is not the major backer of the reactionary counter-democratic forces that have swept
North Africa in the wake of the western manipulated popular uprising labelled the "Arab Spring". That
ignoble distinction belongs to the US ally Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the Arab Emirates, all nation states
created by the British and French after WW I. Then there's the european settler state of Israel, to which
both houses of Congress, and the Republican and Democrats are beholding (as are most if not all Black
elected representatives and congressmen) who are equally held accountable by AIPAC and its affiliates.
Placing the politics between the two Party hydra of American 'democratic fascism" that many
Obama Black middle class and wanna be professional middle class supporters ahead of tragic evidence
of US war crimes and corporate war profiteering; ahead of the murderous militarism of the Obama
regime across the globe, in West and North Africa, Somalia, Eastern Congo, The Yemen, and across the
historical fertile crescent, (Iraq-Iran), where the US and its puppet arab allies geopolitically confront the

Russian "sphere of national influence" is truly unbelievable, and even shameful. Its sad that the tens of
thousands killed by Obama's policies and support of reactionary military juntas, and comprador elites
currently ruling Africa, go unchallenged by Obama sycophants, as if the domestic police state, this
National-Security-State, under which every US citizen is considered a potential terrorist or criminal
rather than potentially productive citizen, with ruled by a democratically elected government,
mysteriously appeared out of nowhere while not one single Black national leader, Elected official, scores
of Black mayors, or Pop culture pundits were watching - as the prisons filled up with Black flesh, the
school to prison pipeline institutionalized, put up and running, and the erosion of African-American civil
liberties eroded by the Ominibus Crime bills, tough sentencing laws and militarization of law enforcement
under both Bush and Clinton regimes happen all by themselves. Who would think Stop and frisk was
merely a "policing policy" that should abolished except someone who is challenged by the notion of
sovereign thinking and apolitical analysis. Black folks been stopped and frisked since the bull-whip days, I
grew up with popo stop & frisk routine in the 50s - so how did it get progressively worse one might
ask? Just take stock of exactly who and what narratives have been written out so called "dialogue on
Race" and the "Civil Rights era and you'll find the answer - or a least part of it. But let Oprah, and the
Black elite tell it - the Butler's of the African experience in racist America truly freed us all. This is
assuming of course there's no such thing as art (Cinema) for art sake and that all art (especially cinema)
is ultimately political, in which case Malcolm's break-down of the House Negro and Field Negro was just
rhetorical, symbolic, like the Amos-Andy Series. Moreover, It wasn't long ago that it was the self
identified Black establishment that cheer led the bogus "war on drugs" and "take back the streets", "anti-
violence" campaigns that rationalized police occupation of Black communities similar to the Israeli
occupation of Palestine. Ironic perhaps because New York's Police chief proudly proclaimed his
department's adaptation of the Israel Shin Beth intelligence techniques employed in the Gaza and West
Bank as if he advanced to a higher level in "Grand Theft Auto". But our tax dollars went a long way, as
Israel is the major recipient of US military assistance and has on numerous times used weapons banned
by the Geneva Convention on civilian populations. This was not only in violation of international treaties
but of US law governing the use of arms and technology provided to foreign governments. There are
additional geopolitical consideration also driving the US influence in the Middle East. Assad and his
reactionary Baathist deep state have been a stabilizing counter-force for US, French, and British
interests in the region for decades, especially in Lebanon, and in the Bekaa and along the Golan Heights
(faced off with Israel). So one must not construe opposition to Obama's bogus "humanitarian" outrage
and a military strike in Syria as support of a reactionary autocrat (albeit one who served the interest of
the West). I just thought it troubling that Black people in the US are so ill informed about international

affairs that will devastate them, and ill-prepared for the domestic fallout of an Empire in decline because
of this deficiency. After my return from abroad I'm sure some of my perceptions will change,
unfortunately, only conventional wisdom is the order of the day in the US. Indeed the difference evolve,
but do know from living abroad for a while that "chess & chest" on the streets Mogadishu, Cairo, Lagos, or
J-Burg has only meaning to the educated classes, the former (Chess) is exercised by the powerful, while
the latter, (Chest) is an expression of the powerless only folks sitting on porches in America and Europe,
and in prison yards between "the count" play checkers. Even eccentric Hustlers in Washington Square
park prefer "Chess" to Checkers - metaphors are only politically accurate when they consider that the
personal is always political - and a person's social being determines their thinking. Obama's policies
speak volumes about his "social being" and his neo-liberal reactionary politics his apologists
rationalize. Of course debating pro and con about this is an exercise in futility and will accomplish little
other that to sharpen the barbs of the state's information warriors monitoring this mail and who help
manufacture consent in America.
