commerce
3. Legendary Craft
I was greeted with a message as soon as I entered. I was told to lay
down an Ender Chest where my emerald would be kept and I could protect my
land. I was also informed that voting was very important and they had ranks in
this world. The emeralds would be subtracted from my chest when I
purchased items. I was also instructed to download a texture pack. There were
signs stating that new players were always welcome and to read all the signs.
There were approximately 250 people when I was there, the chat log was lit up
with people talking and trading.
I visited several different areas. In Gate 8 I was transported to desert
land. In Gate 9 I was transported to a forestry snow land. I tried to build, but
there is a rule that you have a 9X9 square area wherever your Ender chest.
Some people had a plain chest on the ground; while others had a erected
various size houses. Either way, you could only make changes to the ground
via digging or chopping trees if you were out of those boundaries designated
by an ender chest. While I was there I visited a store. Of course I tried to open
a chest, but because there were no emeralds in my chest, it said I did not have
permission.
I like this world best of all. It was very well organized and felt
comfortable. Of all the worlds, I am most likely to come back to this one.
4. Spawn Point
I was greeted with a book with some instructions. I also started out with a
ender chest I was suppose to place in one of the worlds to claim my land and
build my home.

6. Gate to Tutorial
There were several gates. This one leads to a full tutorial with signs
pointing out what to do in steps.
7. Elevator Landing
When I took one of the elevators down, I landed here where there was plenty
of food. It was very nice to know as food can be hard to come by when one is
first starting out.
8. Elevator Room
This was a very cool space to walk through while looking for the elevators.
9. Portals
This shows different portals to different areas of the world. You press the
button and go to the area to build your home.
11. Store
Here is a store I visited in Build 9. The chest had signs of what was it, and the
cost and amount of product such as cobblestone or iron you would get for
opening it You opened the chest and the emeralds would be deducted from
your chest.
12. UberCraft
The next place I visited was UberCraft. There
was 400 people when I landed here. I was afraid
I was in for a fight as most people were in armor.
There were some very interesting places in and
things that happened in this world. Take a look at
my tourist pictures in the next slides.
18. Free Market
I loved this place. People would rotate going to the stage area and throw
free things at the people below to catch. I managed to get 15 diamonds.
22. Hidden Chests
I dove off the end of the main area and found this area. It was a place where
people had items stashed with signs. The cool thing was that since it was not
yours, you could not open it.
23. Eco City
This place was nice to visit. There was almost
200 people when I logged on. My favorite thing
about it was how it attempted to implement order
throughout the worlds. There was signs
everywhere making sure people knew what to
do. The it was based on economics and
attempted to mimic these principles. Here are
some of the places I visited.
36. Conclusion
I had a great time visiting the different servers. I
learned a lot about the popularity of MineCraft
and see it as having wide rang applications in
education. A world can be created to the
educators or instructional designers
specifications, even including events. The
students can have an experiential learning
experience using various lessons.
