Mission statement Fontys University HRM en Psychology:  The connective community, a transformation strategy
to connect
Mission: to connect Students: 	with themselves 	with their talents and 	= bildung            ambition           		 	with the world and 		= ausbildung            their profession      		 					           ------------------- + 			      = what we are getting paid for  			         by the government, our obligation towards  		         the Dutch society (tax payers)
Mission: transformation strategy Transformation from talents into competences Competences are externally driven Talent leads to internal motivation From competence management to talant management (lecture Thursday)

Two courses: Human Resources Development Applied Psychology
A. HRM: Who manages “Human Recourses”? Society (Government): Labor market policy, full employment, macro economics Organization: labor as production factor, aiming at realization of organizational goals  Individuals: personal development, pursuing self fulfillment in contributing to society

Applied Psychology: Fields of study (competence driven): Industrial Psychologie Interpersonal relations Economic Psychology Safety and social inclusion Health Psychology Educational and Developmental Psychology Our students develop: scientific knowledge about human behavior. an expertise in diagnosing, assessing and influencing human behavior in order to prevent unhealthy and promote healthy behavior, enabling humans to fulfill the various roles in society.
