Using regression analysis to find out reasons and factors as to what makes an intersection
unsafe.
Using ArcGIS to analyze data based on different variables and to map out crashes and
investigate crash scenarios.
Independent project, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. January’14-May’14
Project is an effort to investigate if a third lane is needed on I-40 in Albuquerque, NM as
proposed by the City of Albuquerque.
Estimated vehicle volumes at different time periods. Used software for the estimates on the
historical data.
Came up with a report to the City of Albuquerque about the findings.
Internship, Rooshna Infrastructres, Hyderabad, India. May'12-June’12
Worked as an Intern at a national level construction firm to conduct traffic surveys and
identify issues related to traffic congestion, poor planning among others.
Identified factors relating to an increase in traffic volumes and suggested alternatives and
sustainable solutions to manage traffic.
Maintained the files and facilitated the data entry process for the regional chapter of the
firm.
4. PROJECTS:
‘Albuquerque Pedestrian and Bike Safety Study’
Current thesis with a focus on analyzing factors for crashes and investigating the causes using
mapping and regression analysis techniques
‘Transportation strategies and planning decisions for San Jose neighborhood, Albuquerque,
New Mexico’.
Investigated different transportation strategies for a neighborhood in Albuquerque with
different approaches from environmental justice to mobility.
2. ‘Effect of fly ash as a substitute for sub soil in road construction’
Examined the effect of using fly ash as a substitute for sub soil in road construction by testing
different samples for strength.
