• She adopted a more
boyish look.
• Many women flattened
their chests to achieve
this look.
• She replaced the
corset with lighter
clothing that wasn’t so
restrictive.
7. Shapes and Silhouettes
• Straight and angular
• Ideal body: Flat chest
and no hips.
• Pleats, panels, and
drapes created an
uneven hemline.

about.
