Working Title:
the record rescuer
Audience:
I am aiming my game at 5+ people as it is a simple game and doesn’t involve any violence but
might interest older generations as it's their style of an old school game which they might have
played. It's for both female and male but because of the style might be more male sided than
female as it isn't a stereotypical female game. Its social status is ABC1 as it falls under most
categories as it isn't an expensive game so people with lower paid jobs can afford this for their kids
or them self's but people with larger wages can also get them if it is something they would like
also.
The psychographic of this game would be a mainstream explorer people that live an average day
with a daily routine but like to try new things that can sometimes challenging.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
I've gone through two years of the course (lev2 lev3) I find that I do have a good enough experience in
this area as I've already done it. I know how to use a photoshop and use the time line to move
characters around I also know how to use photo shop from doing my magazine in last year's course and
previous games so I know I am confident with the whole process. I am also confident with the drawing
up characters as I enjoy drawing and this helps with my creativity which will enhance the look or my
game.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept of my game it to collect the records from the desert of silence and getting the records through
the maze of music to the record store to get music back to the world. The little farmer boy is going to help by
collecting the records and taking them back. I need to research about how to create a record on photoshop as
it will be hard to make a perfect circle. I also need to research styles of games similar to see how characters
move as my character will be doing a lot of moving. As it is going to be mini games I want to look at games
like that to see how they move from each game or if I am going to have a home page to go back to to cho ose
diffrerent game options or whether it will slide across to the next game with a small space with a part that
says get ready for the next game.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I will evaluate my work on a weekly basis, reflecting on my progress of specific techniques I undertake. I
will also evaluate it at the end, discussing technical and aesthetic considerations to improve my work for
future.
