2. As you can see I created a
light grey background with
an effect for my cover
page background. I did
this my selecting my
colour then going on the
layers effect, I ended up
with this effect and really
like it as I think its modern
and stylish.
Here I have created my
title, I have done this my
creating a text box then
choosing the font and
colour of my text and
messing around to try and
create the boldest title
possible.
3. I then inserted the image
of Emily and used the cut
out tool to get rid of the
original background, then
changed the brightness
and contrast of the image
so it stood out more.
I then inserted another
bold style of text and did
this in the same way I did
to create the “pop up”
header.
4. Next I created sub titles
for my main cover line,
this was straight forward
and effect as it stands out
well as it is placed over
the main image.
Then I created more text
but not as bold as these
were for things such as
the date and number of
issue. This also fitted in
with my colour scheme.
5. I then created a ‘pop up’
this is when something
stands out and can be in
the shape of a circle, I
created this by selecting
the shape button and
then make the sides
thicker to create a bold
look that would fit in with
the rest of the magazine
style.
Next I created a barcode
by using the shape tool
again and inserting lots of
lines and then adding
numbers to the bottom
and top to give the effect
of a barcode. This makes
my product look more
realistic and professional.
6. I then created boxes to
make the white text stand
out more, this was done
by using the shape tool,
and on the two bottom
shapes I made them
transparent which can be
done by using the tool
closes to this box.
Finally I added text to
create cover lines for
magazine, this was done
in the same as previously
done when creating text.
It matches my colour
scheme and stand out so
its clear and easy to read.
7. This is my final magazine cover, as you can see it is very bold and all
matches as it is following a strict colour scheme.
