Participants meet weekly during the summer and receive the benefit of
member instruction.
EYC also sponsors the North Coast Women’s Sailing Association, which

A PROud PAsT
EYC was chartered in 1914 as a non-profit organization
dedicated to promoting the sport of boating. The club was
originally at the foot of East Ninth Street. In 1928, EYC moved
to it’s present location at Lakefront Reservation (previously
Edgewater State Park) — using a small wooden shed as it’s club
house. Since then, EYC has grown to be a top resource for
the boating community as a member of US Sailing, the InterLake Yachting Association and the Greater Cleveland Boating
Association. Members enjoy reciprocity agreements with more
than 100 other yachting clubs in the US and the Caribbean —
including more than 30 clubs along Ohio’s shoreline.
