This document compares the features of Endnote Basic/Web/Online versus Endnote desktop citation manager software. Endnote Basic allows for anytime access from any device with limited storage and reference styles. In contrast, Endnote desktop provides unlimited storage and over 5,000 bibliographic styles but requires desktop installation. Both products allow online searching of references and capturing webpages.
