It’s time to demonstrate what you’ve learned and to showcase it via a creative project. Keep in mind the following
goals:
Complete Photoshop tutorials to help you create your project.
Reflect on what you’ve learned about writing, layout, design and photography in journalism.
Use your skills to create a new product and demonstrate your knowledge of journalism skills
Part I: Photoshop Tutorials
Complete the correct level of Photoshop tutorials: basic, advanced or special project. Consult the individual
assignment sheet to determine your level. All Photoshop tutorials are due by Friday, May, 2.
These tutorials will provide and reinforce the skills you need to complete the project.
Part II: Create Your Own Project
You will create a “personal project” that showcases your writing and design abilities. It is to be given to someone
outside of the class. All projects must be “preapproved” by Mrs. Sitler.
Benchmarks:
1. Preapproved topic & recipient(s)
a. Due by Friday, May 9
2. Rough draft sketch of project
a. Due by Friday, May 16
3. Completed project due by Friday, May 23
a. Saved in Y drive News Magazine=> End of Year Projects => Senior Finals=> Projects to Print by
your last name.
Part II: Reflection

letter. All answers must be typed and submitted by Tuesday, May, 28.
