PsyAsia International's Psychometric Assessment at Work Course provides
delegates with a firm grounding in the competent application of psychometric
aptitude, ability and personality tests for recruitment/selection, development,
coaching and career counseling decisions. As Asia’s independent leader

This courseis for anybody who uses or intends to usepsychometric tests in the
workplace. For example, human resource and training professionals, line
managers, directors, training facilitators, coaches, counsellors and
psychologists. It equips delegates to choose the right psychometric tests and
toadminister, score,interpret, feedback andmakedecisions withtheassistance
of psychometric test results.
PsyAsia International has offered this course in Asia since 2002. Our face-to-
face training takes place in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Brunei and
mainland China multiple times throughout the year. We also offer in-house
training at any location.
As a pioneer in this field, PsyAsia International was the first provider of this
training to offer it as fully immersive online training. This meets the demands
of busy people who want world-class training that leads to an internationally
recognised qualification, but for whomparticipation in face-to-face training is
not possible due to a hectic schedule, travel costs or simply preference.

This course is facilitated by award-winning
Chartered Psychologist, Dr. Graham Tyler – the
originator of regular BPS Level A and B
training in Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Dr. Tyler is a registered psychologist
(organisational psychology & clinical
neuropsychology) and executive director of
PsyAsia International. His PhD thesis
concentrated on psychometric assessment
with emphasis on the validity of international
and local models and measures of personality
in Asia. Dr. Tyler’s research with psychometric
tools has been recognised by the BPS with
their prestigious prize for Scientific
Contribution to Organizational Psychology.
His research has been published in
international, peer-reviewed and professional
journals, as well as numerous books and he is
a reviewer for the annual SIOP Conference in
the USA. Dr. Tyler was previously an MBA
lecturer in HRM for the University of Leicester
Dubai Campus and MSc in HRM Lecturer for
Hong Kong Polytechnic University.He resides
in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. He is
a full member of the American and Australian
Psychological Societies and an Associate
Fellow with the British & Hong Kong
Psychological Societies. Dr. Tyler has
facilitated this course for over 20 years. In
addition to training and consulting in HRM &
Organisational Psychology, he trained to
Masters Level in Clinical Neuropsychology and
works within multidisciplinary teams in
hospitals on differential diagnosis of brain
disorders. There is nobody more qualified

Prior to thecourse, delegates will be askedto completesomepre-coursework.Thereis no pre-coursework for Level
1 but delegates are advised to view our complimentary training videos.Level 2 Ability delegates are required to read
a short manual, taking around 90 minutes or less. Level 2 Personality delegates are required to read a short manual,
again taking around 90 minutes. In addition to this, Level 2 Personality delegates must view videos on the
interpretation of theIdentity Self-PerceptionQuestionnaireandcompleteaquiz.This can beexpectedtotakearound
3 hours. As soon as we receive payment from delegates, they are given immediate access to our Online Learning
Centre. We therefore advise delegates to sign up for their course as far in advance as possible to give them as much
time as possible to utilize all Learning Centre resources. This will ensure the best learning experience. The Learning
Centrecomprises trainingvideos,recordedlessons, quizzes, courseworkbooks andmanuals.
For those attending our face-to-face training there will be work to do on each evening of the course. This can be
minimized by doing more learning prior to the actual training sessions. We estimate the work for each evening to
be around1-2 hours dependingon yourlearningspeed. However, on Day Four of your course, pleaseallowadditional
time for evening work of up to 3 hours. You may not need this amount of time, but please allow for it to be safe!
Post-course work includes completion of the course workbook, along with additional personality assessment
administration and feedback for Level 2 Personality. The actual amount of work will depend on how much time you
devotedtothe workbook duringthecourse. On average, you shouldexpect your post-coursework for thecombined
Level 1 & 2 Ability and Personality course to take up to 2 days, whilst for those attending only Level 2 Ability or only
Level 2 Personality, this will take up to a day. The more preparation delegates do before the course and the more
they are able to apply themselves during the course, the less post-course work will need to be done!
A few UK vendors offer this certification in a shorter “Express” course. Our experience is that this requires
significantly more pre-and post-course work and leads to delegates feeling significantly more pressure during the
course– guaranteed!

Successfuldelegates will be able to apply for theBritish Psychological Society's Occupational Testing Qualifications:
Level 1 Assistant Test User and Level 2 Ability Test User and Personality Test User. They will also be able to appear
on the society’s Register of Qualifications in Test Use for an additional annual fee payable to the BPS. Furthermore,
for another small additional fee, successful Level 2: Personality Test User certificate holders will be able to apply for
the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA) Test User Certificate. Certificate holders are expected
to keep themselves both current and to ensure recency of practice. As a result, there is a requirement to declare this
status to the BPS once every 6 years. A number of these declarations will be audited.
Our face-to-face delegates get full access to our Online Learning Centre not just for their pre-course work, but for
theentireperiod of the trainingandfollow-upwork.This means you can goback over any lecture/presentation given
by the tutor because every single Module is recorded in high quality video and audio. You will also have access to
other learning tools, including manuals, quizzes and so on. We do not knowof any competitor who offers this!

His PhD thesis concentrated on psychometric assessment with emphasis on the validity of international and local models and measures of personality in Asia. Dr. Tyler’s research with psychometric tools has been recognised by the BPS with their prestigious prize for Scientific Contribution to Organizational Psychology. His research has been published in international, peer-reviewed and professional journals, as well as numerous books and he is a reviewer for the annual SIOP Conference in the USA. Dr. Tyler was previously an MBA lecturer in HRM for the University of Leicester Dubai Campus and MSc in HRM Lecturer for Hong Kong Polytechnic University.He resides in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. He is a full member of the American and Australian Psychological Societies and an Associate Fellow with the British & Hong Kong Psychological Societies. PSYASIA INTERNATIONAL TELEPHONE AND CONTACT DETAILS Prior to thecourse, delegates will be askedto completesomepre-coursework.Thereis no pre-coursework for Level 1 but delegates are advised to view our complimentary training videos.Level 2 Ability delegates are required to read a short manual, taking around 90 minutes or less. Level 2 Personality delegates are required to read a short manual, again taking around 90 minutes. In addition to this, Level 2 Personality delegates must view videos on the interpretation of theIdentity Self-PerceptionQuestionnaireandcompleteaquiz.This can beexpectedtotakearound 3 hours. As soon as we receive payment from delegates, they are given immediate access to our Online Learning Centre. We therefore advise delegates to sign up for their course as far in advance as possible to give them as much time as possible to utilize all Learning Centre resources. This will ensure the best learning experience. The Learning Centrecomprises trainingvideos,recordedlessons, quizzes, courseworkbooks andmanuals. For those attending our face-to-face training there will be work to do on each evening of the course. This can be minimized by doing more learning prior to the actual training sessions. We estimate the work for each evening to be around1-2 hours dependingon yourlearningspeed. However, on Day Four of your course, pleaseallowadditional time for evening work of up to 3 hours. You may not need this amount of time, but please allow for it to be safe! Post-course work includes completion of the course workbook, along with additional personality assessment administration and feedback for Level 2 Personality. The actual amount of work will depend on how much time you devotedtothe workbook duringthecourse. On average, you shouldexpect your post-coursework for thecombined Level 1 & 2 Ability and Personality course to take up to 2 days, whilst for those attending only Level 2 Ability or only Level 2 Personality, this will take up to a day. The more preparation delegates do before the course and the more they are able to apply themselves during the course, the less post-course work will need to be done! A few UK vendors offer this certification in a shorter “Express” course. Our experience is that this requires significantly more pre-and post-course work and leads to delegates feeling significantly more pressure during the course– guaranteed!

They will also be able to appear on the society’s Register of Qualifications in Test Use for an additional annual fee payable to the BPS. Furthermore, for another small additional fee, successful Level 2: Personality Test User certificate holders will be able to apply for the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA) Test User Certificate. Certificate holders are expected to keep themselves both current and to ensure recency of practice. As a result, there is a requirement to declare this status to the BPS once every 6 years. A number of these declarations will be audited.
