Job Description
Cerestech Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist in the field of starch materials.
The candidate must be eligible for an NSERC Industrial R&D Fellowship (IRDF) and the employment is
conditional on obtaining the NSERC Fellowship. To be nominated for a fellowship, the candidate must be
a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada at the time of his/her nomination.
The ideal candidate will have:
• a Ph.D. in Chemistry, preferably related to starch or natural polymers
• Experience in starch modification, processing, characterization, starch food applications, starch
suspension, polysaccharide or sugar modification or related areas.
• Experience in reactive polymerization.
• Knowledge of polyols, starch plasticizers, and industrial melt processing of polymers are a plus.
