2. He was born in 1969, on the 19 th of
September, in Serov, Sverdlovsk region,
RSFSR, USSR.
When he was 9 years old, his father
encouraged him to go in a box section.

3. Carrer
Konstantin was the champion of the USSR
among juniors in 1986 and 1987. In 1988
he took part in the Olympic Games in
Seoul. In 1989 and 1991 he became the
champion of Europe. In 1991 he won the
World Cup in Sydney.

4. Several years later he became the absolute
world champion boxer according to WBC,
WBA and IBF.

5. Coaching career
Kostya Tszyu has developed his own
methods of training professional boxers,
which he successfully applied during his
living in Australia.

6. Charity
In 2009, Konstantin
made a public initiative
to help developing
children's sport in
Russia by organizing a
number of sports
schools of his name
across the country.

7. Hall of fame
In 2011, Kostya Tszyu
was included into the
International Boxing
Hall of Fame as the
person who made a
great contribution to
the development of
the sport.
