Want to improve your chances of winning the hackathon? You need a good pitch to convince the jury. Use at least three of these tips to make your pitch or demo shine.

1. Problem: Who has what
problem and when?
Connect emotionally.
Stories help, but KISS.
2. Solution: Show your hack.
Have a demo leader. Be
extremely prepared.
3. Benefits: Why is this so
awesome? Is there a
market/business/future?
What about the team?
4. What’s next? Roadmap,
vision, etc. - make it
memorable and desirable.
2. One very prepared presenter.
3. Reverse engineer.
4. Connect with the jury. Consider
your emotional appeal. Tell
stories, demonstrate future
potential, create desire.
5. Kill the fill: No “sorry” or “um” –
highlight your strengths.
6. Show, don’t tell.
7. Be a presenter: Passionate,
good posture, smile. Use
pauses. Entertain and sell.
