Logical Games in Collaborative Education
Transnational meeting in Budapest
8-12 November 2016.
08th November - Tuesday
The Italian Delegation formed by 3 teachers arrived by the afternoon and settled in
the hotel with partners : Belgian, Spanish and Austrian partners, except of the
Portuguese team which arrived at night.
It was our first meeting so we had our dinner at a small restaurant in the centre of
Budapest where we could get to know each other. It was also time to set the
framework of the meetings, talk about financial questions and tasks connected with the
implementation of the project in the intermeeting periods.
09th November - Wednesday
In the morning we visited the school for the first time. On this second meeting we
met the Portuguese team, it was informed about the evening meeting, then ,all
together, we talked about the next two meetings, agreed on the games and tasks of
the intermeeting period.
Since the program is based on the Hungarian schools talent care program this meeting
also worked as a sample for us as partners. Although all the programs of the meetings
had been fixed in the application, it is a matter of question how each partner can
implement them.
The program continued with one of the Hungarian seventh graders, Botond Takács,
who introduced the school with a presentation and the Hungarian teacher Beáta
Mencig who talked about the work of the Talent Point.
The Hungarian Professor Sándor Kabai’s presentation enriched our knowledge in the
field of geometry and made us play with different plastic shapes.
Some Hungarian junior students gave a presentation of juggling activities then we
learned how to make and use Poi and Cascade Balls. WE liked it a lot and enjoyed
trying out those original relaxing toys.
In the afternoon on a sightseeing tour we got acquainted with the main sights of
Budapest. We enjoyed Vajdahunyad Castle in the City Park, the Castle District and the
spectacular view of the city from the Fisherman’s Bastion.
10th November - Thursday
The third meeting was about Hungarian game inventions. In the morning we gathered
in the school again.
Student presentations introduced the Rubik games and all the other fantastic logic
games invented by Hungarian people even the newest ones.
A Rubik’s cube expert showed how to solve the cube in an incredibly short time with
two and then one hand or blindfolded. Then one of our ex-students gave a
presentation on Rubik Race. Then the two experts made a competition show. It was
amazing.
We received a Rubik Race as a present, as well as all the other partner schools and
were taught how to use it.
Button football is another Hungarian invention and the host school organized a
championship. After a short explanation of rules we practiced a bit and then enjoyed
the game.
The afternoon Game Party was the high point of the meeting. It worked like a Talent
Day that the Hungarian school organize every year, but this time it was in English.
There were student groups from different schools of the district. They went from site
to site in the school. At each site it was possible to learn and play a game or two.
Sometimes they worked on a task together. It also happened that they just played next
to each other.
Students explained the rules in English and showed how to play the games. We walked
around and learned what games they have, how to play them and the way they
arrange a Game Party. For some of them we just watched and concentrated on the
game’s rules, for others we liked joining and took part in games.
We enjoyed the game very much. All the students were prepared, convincing and
confident. As a closure event There were a reception for guest teachers, players -
students of the neighbouring schools - and guests from the District Council.
After lunch we walked around the building of the Hungaian Parliament at night.
11th November - Friday
It was organized a bus tour to the Danube Bend. First we had a morning coffee in
Szentendre and had a nice walk in the enchanting small streets of the town.
Next we visited in the gloomy Visegrád Castle and after lunch we arrived at Esztergom.
Climbing the crooked steps to the top of the dome was a hard work but the wonderful
view was worth it.
Finally, we spent the last evening in a wine cellar where we could taste Hungarian
wines in Etyek. On the way back we got off the bus at the Christmas Fair in Vörösmarty
Square.
While we were sitting on the bus, as a fourth meeting, we cleared all the details of
administrative tasks, the next meeting dates and programmes and talked about our
experiences and feelings about the meeting in Budapest.
12th November - Saturday
We said good bye to our host school and to all other partners.
The transnational meeting served well its aims. We could learn what talent support
means to Hungarian school and how does it work in Vermes Miklós Általános Iskola.
We got acquainted with lots of new games and Hungarian game inventions among
them. We could see well how student experts teach their mates and work in the Talent
Point.
We talked about problems, doubts on the meeting program and the Hungarian
teacher coordinator answered all our questions with competence, effectiveness and
helpfulness. We also agreed that Rubik’s Cube and Rubik Race are the games that
students will learn in the partner schools and there will be an intermeeting competition
on three levels: school, district and project.
We arrived home with enthusiasm, inspiring good ideas and lots of Rubik games. We
look forward the next meeting in Liege.
Logical Games in Collaborative Education
First mobility with teachers and students
Meeting in Liege (Belgium)
6-12 March 2017.
06th March-Monday
The Italian Delegation formed by 3 teachers and 2 students arrived by the evening in
Liege and settled in the hotel after having entrusted the students to the family chosen
by the host school; then we joined all the other partners at a restaurant near the hotel
where the Belgian teachers welcomed us and gave us all the information about the
program beginning the day after, we received also a map of the town with the
indication of the school position. We had our dinner and we could talk about the
project with other partners.
7th March - Tuesday
In the morning we went to school and visited it for the first time. It was a public
school following the method of Celestine Freinet, so we could visit an infant and a
primary school with a system of teaching very different from ours. It is based on
autonomy and sense of responsibility of children, classrooms are open learning
environments where teachers guide children to knowledge through discussion,
teamworks, practical activities during which pupils share ideas, proposals of solution,
ask questions, building their ideas in a collaborative way; then, they work without
books but using worksheets with exercises having different levels of difficulty, useful
also for individualized learning. We were very interested in that methodology,
proposing a way of teaching more active. Our student started their experience in the
school staying in class with the host pupil and taking part into the lessons and we
could visit several classes, be present during different lessons and activities, ask
teachers detail about their school system; then, some Belgian pupils guided us to see
the entire school.
After the lunch at school, we went to “Le Lycèe de Waha”, a Secondary Freinet High
School where we were divided in groups (our students were with us) and invited to
different classes, we were present to a lesson of literature; it was very interactive,
students were motivated to take part into the lesson saying their point of view,
discussing about different thoughts, each of them was involved into the activity and
could offer a personal contribute to the work guided by the teacher. It was also a
formative experience about how teaching with innovative techniques. The first day of
the meeting was very productive for us.
In the evening we were free to go on a sightseeing tour in the downtown of Liege.
8th
March - Wednesday
In the morning we visited the Town Hall of Liege in a guided tour, it was very
interesting to see all the representative rooms , the meeting area of the Town
Council, having information about the local government and some historical notes.
After the lunch in a restaurant managed by the local Hotel Management School, in
the afternoon, there was a guided tour of Liege: we visited the ancient part of the city,
walked along the river Mose, we saw the “Point du Fragnee”, the “Palais des Principes
et des Eveques ,the “Montagne de Beuren”, the “Perron”, “L’Operà”, the Cathedral, “la
Place du Marchè”, etc., so we knew a lot about Liege’s history, economy and social
organization. Students visited Liege with their host families.
In the evening, after a very interesting tour, we had free time.
9th March-Thursday
In the morning we went to school and we could learn to play with the several Belgian
logic games, in particular with the I Q Puzzler, the game we received to bring in our
school and allow our students to play with; then, we had the project meeting during
which the Belgian partners displayed a PP presentation about their school:
organization, methods, mission; a PP presentation about Liege and a new one about
Belgian logic games and their inventor. In addition, we could participate to a relaxing
lesson for students with the Tibetan bell and a series of exercises and massages. The
meeting continued discussing about all the activities to do during the intermeeting
period, particularly, the competition on line to be played with the I Q Puzzler, we
defined period and organization. At the end we planned the following meeting in
Pettenbach, Austria.
After the lunch at school, we went to the “Val Dieu Abbey”, a beer producer, where we
had a guided tour in the factory to see all the production phases of beer with final
tasting of it and then we went to Chocolatery where we could see how they make
chocolate starting from the cocoa seeds processing. Beer and chocolate are typical
Belgian products and it was very interesting to know more about them.
10th March- Friday
In the morning we went to school for the Game Party, the high point of the meeting.
There were Belgian student groups ready to present their logic games to partners;
they had built a lot of logic games showing creativity and ability. They were happy to
explain games’ rules in English and to invite guest teachers and students to play with
them. For us it was very amusing to try and play, walking around and changing
games, we liked so much the atmosphere of the party: children were diligent, good at
doing well their work but happy and they shared that fun with us.
After the Game Party we went to Bruxelles by train for a sightseeing tour, teachers
and students visited the ancient part of the city, walked around the “Grand Place”, saw
the ”Eglise Notre-Dame du Sablon “, the Royal Palace, etc.
In the evening we had the last official dinner at “Rabbat”, in the downtown of Liege.
11th March - Saturday
In the morning we had free time so Belgian teachers suggested us to go to Maastricht,
not far from Liege, by train, instead, our students went to visit a beautiful green area
near Liege with the host family .
In the afternoon we went to school for the Carnival Parade: teachers, students and
their families walked around the streets of the area where the school is situated,
dancing and singing with masks and carnival floats. Then, they went back to school
and a party started, we enjoyed a lot, our students had much fun and it was also our
last evening spent together, so we said good bye to our host school and to all other
partners, grateful for all the meeting.
12th March - Sunday
In the morning the host family took our students at the entrance of the hotel and we
left Liege. We arrived home with enthusiasm, the experience was intense and rich in
professional ideas good to insert in our work at school to improve students’
motivation. The students also were enthusiastic of having known a different way to be
at school and having practised English and French with their new friends. We look
forward the next meeting in Pettenbach.
Logical Games in Collaborative Education
Second mobility with teachers and students
Meeting in Pettenbach (Austria)
8-14 May 2017.
08th May-Monday
The Italian Delegation formed by 3 teachers and 4 students arrived by the evening in
Pettenbach and settled in the hotel after having entrusted the students to the 2
families chosen by the host school; then we joined all the other partners at the
restaurant in the hotel where the Austrian teachers welcomed us. While we enjoyed
our dinner we were talking about the progress of the project.
09th May - Tuesday
In the morning we went to school and visited it for the first time. It was a public
school, modern, rich in didactic spaces and teaching aids: it was very interesting for us
visiting a so equipped school; unfortunately, in Italy, often, we have a lot of shortages
in public schools: few resources for the maintenance of the structures and for the
didactic tools. In that school students can study in big classrooms, full of
technological and practical tools; there are also a lot of fitted labs (music hall,
carpentry section, cooking space, tailoring room, etc.) where it is possible to offer
students the possibility to learn by doing, to develop artistic or practical inclinations as
well as following more traditional school lessons. Teachers can combine both and we
think it is useful to increase motivation and interest proposing such a variety of
activities. It was helpful and productive for us to observe that approach.
After lunch at school, in the afternoon, students and teachers had a barbecue in the
school yard, we were all together spending good time in harmony and having the
opportunity of socializing one another.
10th
May - Wednesday
In the morning we went to Wels by train to go and visit “Welios”, an interactive
Museum, where you can make a lot of sensorial experiences; the students involved in
the project presented their logic games in the hall of the museum, our students
proposed a memory game with the flags of the countries participating in the project;
the Austrian students proposed the game “Ubongo”then we took part in a conference
about the Erasmus projects in European schools to celebrate the 30th
anniversary of
Erasmus activities and our Hungarian coordinator could present our project to the
audience. After lunch in Wels, in the afternoon we visited Linz with a guided tour and
went back to Pettenbach to have dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.
11th May-Thursday
In the morning we met at school to leave to the Ice Cave, the largest ice cave in the
world. It was a little bit hard to reach the site, it was more than 2000 metres high, but
the cave was wonderful with all the natural ice sculptures and formations in it; we
followed a guided tour in it; we had lunch in a mountain refuge, than we walked
through a little path in the mountains and reached the “Five Fingers”, a place from
which we could see a fantastic natural view. In the afternoon, we visited Hallstatt, a
nice village near a lake and then we went back to Pettenbach.
12th May- Friday
In the morning we went to school for the Game Party, the high point of the meeting.
There were the guest student groups in different classrooms ready to show a PP
presentation about their town and to teach their logic game’s rules to the Austrian
students who went from one class to another and could learn a lot about other
countries. Our students presented cultural aspects and traditions about Caserta. All
students liked this activity, it was successful. In the afternoon teachers visited 2
monasteries, in one of them, the “Kremsmünster”, we had dinner and we could also
taste cheese and wine from local production. Students, instead, had a different
program with their host families.
13th May - Saturday
In the morning we went to Salzburg where we could visit the suggestive streets in the
downtown, the cathedral, some other churches and some important places connected
with Mozart’s life.

goodbye one another after a special week.

left Pettenbach by train. We arrived at Wien airport, than we flew to Naples and came

  • 1. Logical Games in Collaborative Education Transnational meeting in Budapest 8-12 November 2016. 08th November - Tuesday The Italian Delegation formed by 3 teachers arrived by the afternoon and settled in the hotel with partners : Belgian, Spanish and Austrian partners, except of the Portuguese team which arrived at night. It was our first meeting so we had our dinner at a small restaurant in the centre of Budapest where we could get to know each other. It was also time to set the framework of the meetings, talk about financial questions and tasks connected with the implementation of the project in the intermeeting periods. 09th November - Wednesday In the morning we visited the school for the first time. On this second meeting we met the Portuguese team, it was informed about the evening meeting, then ,all together, we talked about the next two meetings, agreed on the games and tasks of the intermeeting period. Since the program is based on the Hungarian schools talent care program this meeting also worked as a sample for us as partners. Although all the programs of the meetings had been fixed in the application, it is a matter of question how each partner can implement them. The program continued with one of the Hungarian seventh graders, Botond Takács, who introduced the school with a presentation and the Hungarian teacher Beáta Mencig who talked about the work of the Talent Point. The Hungarian Professor Sándor Kabai’s presentation enriched our knowledge in the field of geometry and made us play with different plastic shapes.
  • 2. Some Hungarian junior students gave a presentation of juggling activities then we learned how to make and use Poi and Cascade Balls. WE liked it a lot and enjoyed trying out those original relaxing toys. In the afternoon on a sightseeing tour we got acquainted with the main sights of Budapest. We enjoyed Vajdahunyad Castle in the City Park, the Castle District and the spectacular view of the city from the Fisherman’s Bastion. 10th November - Thursday The third meeting was about Hungarian game inventions. In the morning we gathered in the school again. Student presentations introduced the Rubik games and all the other fantastic logic games invented by Hungarian people even the newest ones. A Rubik’s cube expert showed how to solve the cube in an incredibly short time with two and then one hand or blindfolded. Then one of our ex-students gave a presentation on Rubik Race. Then the two experts made a competition show. It was amazing. We received a Rubik Race as a present, as well as all the other partner schools and were taught how to use it. Button football is another Hungarian invention and the host school organized a championship. After a short explanation of rules we practiced a bit and then enjoyed the game. The afternoon Game Party was the high point of the meeting. It worked like a Talent Day that the Hungarian school organize every year, but this time it was in English. There were student groups from different schools of the district. They went from site to site in the school. At each site it was possible to learn and play a game or two. Sometimes they worked on a task together. It also happened that they just played next to each other. Students explained the rules in English and showed how to play the games. We walked around and learned what games they have, how to play them and the way they arrange a Game Party. For some of them we just watched and concentrated on the game’s rules, for others we liked joining and took part in games.
  • 3. We enjoyed the game very much. All the students were prepared, convincing and confident. As a closure event There were a reception for guest teachers, players - students of the neighbouring schools - and guests from the District Council. After lunch we walked around the building of the Hungaian Parliament at night. 11th November - Friday It was organized a bus tour to the Danube Bend. First we had a morning coffee in Szentendre and had a nice walk in the enchanting small streets of the town. Next we visited in the gloomy Visegrád Castle and after lunch we arrived at Esztergom. Climbing the crooked steps to the top of the dome was a hard work but the wonderful view was worth it. Finally, we spent the last evening in a wine cellar where we could taste Hungarian wines in Etyek. On the way back we got off the bus at the Christmas Fair in Vörösmarty Square. While we were sitting on the bus, as a fourth meeting, we cleared all the details of administrative tasks, the next meeting dates and programmes and talked about our experiences and feelings about the meeting in Budapest. 12th November - Saturday We said good bye to our host school and to all other partners. The transnational meeting served well its aims. We could learn what talent support means to Hungarian school and how does it work in Vermes Miklós Általános Iskola. We got acquainted with lots of new games and Hungarian game inventions among them. We could see well how student experts teach their mates and work in the Talent Point. We talked about problems, doubts on the meeting program and the Hungarian teacher coordinator answered all our questions with competence, effectiveness and helpfulness. We also agreed that Rubik’s Cube and Rubik Race are the games that students will learn in the partner schools and there will be an intermeeting competition on three levels: school, district and project.
  • 4. We arrived home with enthusiasm, inspiring good ideas and lots of Rubik games. We look forward the next meeting in Liege.
  • 5. Logical Games in Collaborative Education First mobility with teachers and students Meeting in Liege (Belgium) 6-12 March 2017. 06th March-Monday The Italian Delegation formed by 3 teachers and 2 students arrived by the evening in Liege and settled in the hotel after having entrusted the students to the family chosen by the host school; then we joined all the other partners at a restaurant near the hotel where the Belgian teachers welcomed us and gave us all the information about the program beginning the day after, we received also a map of the town with the indication of the school position. We had our dinner and we could talk about the project with other partners. 7th March - Tuesday In the morning we went to school and visited it for the first time. It was a public school following the method of Celestine Freinet, so we could visit an infant and a primary school with a system of teaching very different from ours. It is based on autonomy and sense of responsibility of children, classrooms are open learning environments where teachers guide children to knowledge through discussion, teamworks, practical activities during which pupils share ideas, proposals of solution, ask questions, building their ideas in a collaborative way; then, they work without books but using worksheets with exercises having different levels of difficulty, useful also for individualized learning. We were very interested in that methodology, proposing a way of teaching more active. Our student started their experience in the school staying in class with the host pupil and taking part into the lessons and we could visit several classes, be present during different lessons and activities, ask
  • 6. teachers detail about their school system; then, some Belgian pupils guided us to see the entire school. After the lunch at school, we went to “Le Lycèe de Waha”, a Secondary Freinet High School where we were divided in groups (our students were with us) and invited to different classes, we were present to a lesson of literature; it was very interactive, students were motivated to take part into the lesson saying their point of view, discussing about different thoughts, each of them was involved into the activity and could offer a personal contribute to the work guided by the teacher. It was also a formative experience about how teaching with innovative techniques. The first day of the meeting was very productive for us. In the evening we were free to go on a sightseeing tour in the downtown of Liege. 8th March - Wednesday In the morning we visited the Town Hall of Liege in a guided tour, it was very interesting to see all the representative rooms , the meeting area of the Town Council, having information about the local government and some historical notes. After the lunch in a restaurant managed by the local Hotel Management School, in the afternoon, there was a guided tour of Liege: we visited the ancient part of the city, walked along the river Mose, we saw the “Point du Fragnee”, the “Palais des Principes et des Eveques ,the “Montagne de Beuren”, the “Perron”, “L’Operà”, the Cathedral, “la Place du Marchè”, etc., so we knew a lot about Liege’s history, economy and social organization. Students visited Liege with their host families. In the evening, after a very interesting tour, we had free time. 9th March-Thursday In the morning we went to school and we could learn to play with the several Belgian logic games, in particular with the I Q Puzzler, the game we received to bring in our school and allow our students to play with; then, we had the project meeting during which the Belgian partners displayed a PP presentation about their school: organization, methods, mission; a PP presentation about Liege and a new one about Belgian logic games and their inventor. In addition, we could participate to a relaxing lesson for students with the Tibetan bell and a series of exercises and massages. The meeting continued discussing about all the activities to do during the intermeeting
  • 7. period, particularly, the competition on line to be played with the I Q Puzzler, we defined period and organization. At the end we planned the following meeting in Pettenbach, Austria. After the lunch at school, we went to the “Val Dieu Abbey”, a beer producer, where we had a guided tour in the factory to see all the production phases of beer with final tasting of it and then we went to Chocolatery where we could see how they make chocolate starting from the cocoa seeds processing. Beer and chocolate are typical Belgian products and it was very interesting to know more about them. 10th March- Friday In the morning we went to school for the Game Party, the high point of the meeting. There were Belgian student groups ready to present their logic games to partners; they had built a lot of logic games showing creativity and ability. They were happy to explain games’ rules in English and to invite guest teachers and students to play with them. For us it was very amusing to try and play, walking around and changing games, we liked so much the atmosphere of the party: children were diligent, good at doing well their work but happy and they shared that fun with us. After the Game Party we went to Bruxelles by train for a sightseeing tour, teachers and students visited the ancient part of the city, walked around the “Grand Place”, saw the ”Eglise Notre-Dame du Sablon “, the Royal Palace, etc. In the evening we had the last official dinner at “Rabbat”, in the downtown of Liege. 11th March - Saturday In the morning we had free time so Belgian teachers suggested us to go to Maastricht, not far from Liege, by train, instead, our students went to visit a beautiful green area near Liege with the host family . In the afternoon we went to school for the Carnival Parade: teachers, students and their families walked around the streets of the area where the school is situated, dancing and singing with masks and carnival floats. Then, they went back to school and a party started, we enjoyed a lot, our students had much fun and it was also our
  • 8. last evening spent together, so we said good bye to our host school and to all other partners, grateful for all the meeting. 12th March - Sunday In the morning the host family took our students at the entrance of the hotel and we left Liege. We arrived home with enthusiasm, the experience was intense and rich in professional ideas good to insert in our work at school to improve students’ motivation. • 9. Logical Games in Collaborative Education Second mobility with teachers and students Meeting in Pettenbach (Austria) 8-14 May 2017. 08th May-Monday The Italian Delegation formed by 3 teachers and 4 students arrived by the evening in Pettenbach and settled in the hotel after having entrusted the students to the 2 families chosen by the host school; then we joined all the other partners at the restaurant in the hotel where the Austrian teachers welcomed us. While we enjoyed our dinner we were talking about the progress of the project. 09th May - Tuesday In the morning we went to school and visited it for the first time. It was a public school, modern, rich in didactic spaces and teaching aids: it was very interesting for us visiting a so equipped school; unfortunately, in Italy, often, we have a lot of shortages in public schools: few resources for the maintenance of the structures and for the didactic tools. In that school students can study in big classrooms, full of technological and practical tools; there are also a lot of fitted labs (music hall, carpentry section, cooking space, tailoring room, etc.) where it is possible to offer students the possibility to learn by doing, to develop artistic or practical inclinations as well as following more traditional school lessons. Teachers can combine both and we think it is useful to increase motivation and interest proposing such a variety of activities. It was helpful and productive for us to observe that approach. After lunch at school, in the afternoon, students and teachers had a barbecue in the school yard, we were all together spending good time in harmony and having the opportunity of socializing one another.
  • 10. 10th May - Wednesday In the morning we went to Wels by train to go and visit “Welios”, an interactive Museum, where you can make a lot of sensorial experiences; the students involved in the project presented their logic games in the hall of the museum, our students proposed a memory game with the flags of the countries participating in the project; the Austrian students proposed the game “Ubongo”then we took part in a conference about the Erasmus projects in European schools to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Erasmus activities and our Hungarian coordinator could present our project to the audience. After lunch in Wels, in the afternoon we visited Linz with a guided tour and went back to Pettenbach to have dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. 11th May-Thursday In the morning we met at school to leave to the Ice Cave, the largest ice cave in the world. It was a little bit hard to reach the site, it was more than 2000 metres high, but the cave was wonderful with all the natural ice sculptures and formations in it; we followed a guided tour in it; we had lunch in a mountain refuge, than we walked through a little path in the mountains and reached the “Five Fingers”, a place from which we could see a fantastic natural view. In the afternoon, we visited Hallstatt, a nice village near a lake and then we went back to Pettenbach. 12th May- Friday In the morning we went to school for the Game Party, the high point of the meeting. There were the guest student groups in different classrooms ready to show a PP presentation about their town and to teach their logic game’s rules to the Austrian students who went from one class to another and could learn a lot about other countries. Our students presented cultural aspects and traditions about Caserta. All students liked this activity, it was successful. In the afternoon teachers visited 2 monasteries, in one of them, the “Kremsmünster”, we had dinner and we could also taste cheese and wine from local production. Students, instead, had a different program with their host families.
  • 11. 13th May - Saturday In the morning we went to Salzburg where we could visit the suggestive streets in the downtown, the cathedral, some other churches and some important places connected with Mozart’s life. In the evening we had the last dinner at the hotel’s restaurant; it was sad to say goodbye one another after a special week. 14th May - Sunday In the morning the host family took our students at the entrance of the hotel and we left Pettenbach by train. We arrived at Wien airport, than we flew to Naples and came back home happy for having lived an intense week from a professional and a cultural point of view. The students also were enthusiastic of the experience at school and in the families.

The guest students were already at school, welcomed by Italian students in the classes, while the guest teachers were welcomed by the headmaster’s greetings followed by a description of the school. Then, the orchestra of the musical section of the school played a lot of traditional Italian songs, the national and the European anthems, some traditional dances like Tarantella and all guests were invited to dance it. Then, teachers were accompanied by our students in a guided tour into our classes and labs to show our school system, while guest students were occupied in a lot of activities to live a typical school day in our institute. Our pupils welcomed them with some English songs, then we showed them our activities in the classes of primary and infant school, in the gym, in the labs ( logic lab, computer lab, library, Art lab), then, we showed our activity with Sign Language to develop the task about relaxing didactics: it was leaded by a deaf tutor that guided pupils to illustrate the history of Royal Palace with drawings and Sign language; it was very appreciated by guest teachers. Then, we went to the Town Hall to receive the Mayor’s welcome greetings; after that we had the second project meeting during which we showed our PP presentations about our school, the logic games project in our school, about Caserta and our territory. Later we had lunch at the restaurant “ Massa”; in the afternoon, students and teachers went to the Planetarium to have an interactive lesson about the Solar System given by the University professor, Mr L. Smaldone. 15th November-Wednesday In the morning teachers and students went to Pompeii to visit the famous archaeological site; in the afternoon we went to primary school for participating to the Game Party. The Game Party was the high point of the meeting. Our students presented a lot of giant logic games explaining the rules in English and invitinest students and teachers to play the games. We had invited also the families and it was a great opportunity to put together school and family and disseminate the aims of the project. Our partner teachers walked around and learned what games we have invented, how to play them and the way we arranged a Game Party. Some of them just watched and concentrated on the game’s rules, others liked taking part in games. It was a nice afternoon; at the end we offered teachers some Italian traditional food. 16th November- Thursday In the morning teachers and students went to Naples for a guided tour, we walked around the historical centre, visited the cathedral dedicated to Saint Gennaro, famous for the miracle of liquid blood, and some other important churches; we went to Piazza Plebiscito where there is the Royal Palace of Borboni family, via Roma with the famous
