couples to have kids. How can same–sex couples have kids? There are a couple things wrong with
this argument. The first is that having kids is not a requirement for couple to fulfill after they get
married. There is nothing that says couples need to have children. It is something that is done to
show how much the two love each other, and to show how committed they are to each other, enough

Back in 1985 gay rights were very strict they could not serve openly in the military, have sex
without having the risk of being arrested, be protected under hate crime legislation, get married,

Should gay marriage be legal? Gay marriage should be legal because as woman and man, all
individuals have the same right in society; because same–sex couples can constitute a good based
family; because it is just a way to make official a common union nowadays, even with the
religious issue; because it is not related to polygamy; and because love matters and it does not
differ in nature according to the sex of its object or the person who experiences it. The first
reason why same sex marriage should be legal is because it is fair for all individuals to have the

Gay marriage will not increase the number of homosexuals, but it will increase levels of
happiness among existing homosexuals. In addition gays and lesbians marriage should be legal
because it is just a way of the State recognize these common unions now days. It happens
independent of the law and the religious topic involved, and if the government can not be left out
of same sex marriage issue, the better thing that should be done was legalize it. The Vatican says
homosexual acts do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity . Actually
the real reason the Vatican opposes gay marriage is that its goal is to press the governments to
"contain the phenomenon" of homosexual sex. But it is a vague argument since homosexuals, as
straight people, almost always choose someone whose difference from themselves makes them
admirable, exciting or interesting in some way. So, "affective complementarity" applies just as
well to gay marriage. The fourth reason why the gay marriage should be legal is because it does
not infer polygamy. Gay marriage makes sense because it meets an essential need for the
individuals involved and it also benefits society. Poligamy, by contrast, does neither. Some people
affirm that if they take the step of allowing gay marriages they will slide down a slippery slope to

To persuade my audience that we should legalize same–sex marriage in our country.
Same–sex marriage should be legalized since it is the natural form of the marriage evolution, part of
human rights and able to prevent psychological stress from the LGB community. (LGB– lesbian,
gays and bisexuals)

According to the law of marriage ACT 1976, there was no mention of the prohibition of same sex
relationship which is stated in Section 11. So the same sex marriage is not breaks the law. Beside
Section 37 had mentioned that both parties must willingly consent to the marriage by not forcing or
being threatened by anybody. We have no right to care about other family issue since they are
accepted by their family members.
The marriage of Jessie Chung and Joshua Beh is one of the gay marriages in Malaysia. Their
family have agreed and accept their marriage. In year 2005, they have a traditional marriage. During
their marriage they were blessed by their family members.
The last point will see how to reduce psychological stress for LGB community by legalising their
marriages.

Legalizing Same-Sex Marriages
The topic of legalizing same sex marriages brings up heated debates on legal, religious, moral, and
philosophical grounds. In researching material for this paper this writer could not help but read
reports that indicate that the country is fairly well divided on this issue. The debate can go round
and around and the answer to the question of legalizing same sex marriages is not as easy as it may
seem. There are solid rebuttals to any supposition one makes on the issue, making the debate a lot
more interesting than one might believe.
In general there are several philosophical arguments against same sex marriage: The first claims that
marriage is an innately reproductive union of two people and that same sex marriages innately lack
the potential for any type of reproduction, therefore it is metaphysically and biologically impossible
for homosexuals to become "married" to one another. Thus, same sex marriages should not occur.
Critics of this line of reasoning would state that there is no one who would support the notion of not
allowing infertile heterosexual couples or fertile heterosexual couples who do not plan to have
children the right to marry one another. Thus, this argument is not valid as an explanation of why
same sex marriages should not be allowed. However, the rebuttal to this counter argument would be
that the sexual intercourse that takes place between either infertile heterosexual couples or
heterosexual couples not desiring children is reproductive in kind.
