Knowledge and Technology in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is a complicated novel that fundamentally deals with
the concept of the human experience. Hank Morgan is a nineteenth century mechanic who is
transported back thirteen centuries to medieval Britain, during the time of King Arthur. After his
initial shock, he becomes determined to "civilize" Camelot by introducing modern industrial
technology. At an initial look Twain seems to be favoring the industrialized capitalist society that he
lives in over the feudal society of medieval Britain. But in a closer examination of the work it
becomes clear that this observation is much too simple, as the industrial world that Hank Morgan

"Here I was, a giant among pigmies, a man among children, a master intelligence among
moles..."(Twain 40). Hank forgets his own humanity and begins to believe that his knowledge makes
him more of a man, just as the nobility that he shunned believed they were better than the serfs
because of the titles they held.
Hank Morgan uses his superior knowledge of technology to gain personal power. It soon becomes
clear that even though thirteen hundred years have given Hank a technological advantage, they
haven't made him any smarter. Twain himself says of Hank,
...this Yankee of mine has neither the refinement nor the weakness of a college education; he is a
perfect ignoramus; he is boss of a machine shop; he can build a locomotive or a Colt's revolver, he
can put up and run a telegraph line, but he's an ignoramus, nevertheless. (Guttmann 103)
Hank possesses all of this technological knowledge, but fails to understand the implications that this
knowledge will have on the people of the Camelot. Instead of educating the general public and
teaching them how and why something works instead he sends a select few to his "man factories".
He uses his knowledge instead to produce fantastic miracles, which although they give him personal
power, continue to perpetuate the superstitions of the populace that he is trying to overcome. For
example, Hank is asked to fix the well at the Valley of Holiness. He installs a pump that will return
the water,

Connecticut has four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Depending on the situations or
conditions each weather brings also affects Connecticut's unemployment. For example, in the
spring, summer, and fall there are usually outdoor activities such as festivals and outdoor water
parks. People tend to spend more time outside or go out more because the weather is warm and
not much clothes have to be worn to keep warm. Not to mention people will spend money more
when the weather is warm because there is much more to do and see. Employers earn money to
make a living with the warm weather jobs. People can enjoy the weather during these seasons and
all the while employers are earning money. Therefore, the number of people unemployed is low

In chapter three of The Nuts and Bolts of College Writing, Michael Harvey focuses on flow. He
explains consistency of character usage in sentences, additionally with appropriate pronouns and
linking words. In sentences, pronouns should refer to their nouns in a neat fashion. This makes
passages easier to follow, preventing confusion from arising. Furthermore, characters should be used
consistently. The writer controls the flow from one character to another, and they should not be
jumbled. If there are several characters, the sequences should introduce each one methodically.
Punch lines are also important in combining sentences from a familiar start to new information.
Additionally, introductory prepositional phrases are recommended if the

In 2007, Hampton University became the first historically black college or university (HBCU) to
have total oversight of a NASA space mission with the launch of the Aeronomy of Ice in the
Mesophere (AIM) mission. (Carter, n.d.) The launch of AIM satellite allowed for the study of the
"night clouds," and what dynamics triggered the formation of them, such as the temperature, dust
and water vapor. It was believed that these clouds had an impact on the climate around the globe.

My Life As A College Student Essay
Over the course of the last semester, I grew tremendously, not just as a writer but as a student. I
learned skills and tactics that will last me throughout my life and will benefit me once I begin the
next four years of my life as a college student. This early gateway into college writing provided me
with exposure to the expectations that I will face in the college classroom. This will come in
handy in the English classroom, as well as in every subject I will face over the course of the next
four years, and beyond. Writing is a key skill that communicates ideas and information, and is
essential to being successful. Whether I go into the music industry or find myself in a
completely unforeseen career, it is certain that I will use my writing skills at some point. This
class sharpened those skills and prepared me for the future in ways no high school english class
could. This class has challenged me to think more in depth than I ever have before. It forced me to
use my writing as a means of expressing knowledge, ideas, and facts in a clear organized manner. In
order to accomplish the goals of each paper assigned, I found new ways to present the same
information. For example, in every essay I included the theme that governments should be more
involved in the fight against cyber warfare. However, I presented this idea in each paper in different
forms. In the summary, I simply stated what an author of a certain article had to say about this idea.
In the critique, I discussed

Essay on Working in College
Working in College
Executive Summary
Students are increasingly likely to work while in college. Since 1984, the fraction of college students
aged 16 to 24 who also work full– or part–time has increased from 49 to 57 percent. Not only are
students more likely to work today, but they are more likely to work full–time: the share of students
working full–time while going to school full–time has nearly doubled, rising from 5.6 percent in
1985 to 10.4 percent in 2000.
In 2000, 828,000 full–time students worked full–time, compared to 366,000 in 1985.
Working students can be categorized into two groups: those who primarily identify themselves as
students but who work in order to pay the bills, and those who are first and foremost...show more

In 2000, nearly 830,000 full–time college students worked full–time. Because of the adverse effects
of such full–time work, tens of thousands of these college students are likely to drop out of school
and fail to receive a college degree.
Working a limited number of hours (e.g., 10 hours a week) at an on–campus job appears to have
positive impacts on student performance, while working a significant
2
number of hours (e.g., 35 hours or more per week) has adverse consequences. It is unclear at what
point student employment moves from being beneficial to being counterproductive. But the
difference between graduating from college and not graduating from college may involve a change
in work schedules that would have a modest impact on student earnings relative to the lifetime
gains from completing college. For example, reducing hours worked by 10 hours (from 35 hours
per week to 25 hours per week) would reduce a student's annual earnings during the school year by
roughly $2,250. Such potential earnings pale in comparison to the lifetime gains from completing
college.
Since full–time work appears to have negative effects on student enrollment rates and perhaps also
on academic performance, it is therefore of particular concern that fulltime work among full–time
college students has risen sharply over the past 15

My greatest accomplishment is standing where I am right now. Life is a constant work–in–progress
and that all moments, the monumental huge ones and the small quiet ones, all makeup who I am.
Having lived in different countries, I've been cultivated by various topics (i.e. science, ideologies,
and entertainment) into a multifaceted person and global citizen. Throughout my life, I have been
able to connect with people from different backgrounds and build valuable relationships. In August
2009 at the age of 23, I moved to the United States for graduate school without having any family or
friends. Since then, I received my Ph.D. in Biomedical engineering and worked for several top
technology companies. I have made many friends and built a diverse and strong network around the
world.
Our reactions to failures define our future roadmap to success or more failures. I have always
learned from my missteps and have never stopped moving forward. After finishing my undergrad in
Computer engineering, I decided to pursue my education in Canada. However, I got rejected for

My Experience In A College Class
"Welcome Class to Composition one." Those words were voiced by my professor, Mrs.
Robinson, on the first day of school. Initially, I thought to myself, do I even belong in this college
course class. Before school had even begun, the stress over the summer about my English skills
was eating me alive. Why? Well, in my past English classes I received A's on all of my essays, but
this college class did not seem so easy. Also, I was always fascinated by all the arts and sciences,
but English never struck interest in me. I never thought that I could write any decent essays. The
reason I insecure about my writing skills was because of the ACT. Since the ACT is the talk about
how smart an individual is, my ACT score was not very high. As the course continued, the firstessay
approached quickly. I remember being stressed about this essay because of my writing
insecurities. Although I managed to acquire a decent grade, I promised myself to strive to make
myself a better writer. I started to read Norton Field Guide to Writing handbook also known as the
yellow book, and slowly but surely started to develop knowledge of good writing skills and tips to
improve my essays. This allowed me to grow as a writer and slowly my insecurities started to
dwindle, and I began to gain confidence in myself. I never would've thought that the next time I
took the ACT that my English score would be my highest. When getting my score back and
realizing that I had improved so much, I began to wonder how I

My Experience At Connecticut College
"When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain point on the floor, it's to enjoy each step
along the way." (Wayne Dwyer) There is no description or analogy more accurate to describe my
experience both watching and performing dance this past semester at Connecticut College. As a
freshman, it was difficult to move forward with dance in a new environment since I have had the
same dance experience for 15 years. I found myself equating movements and steps to styles more
known to me; I was searching for comfort among the abundance of unfamiliarity. The challenge was
to embrace modern dancing for everything it entailed. Through watching both professional dancers
and other students, as well as improving my personal technique, I certainly feel that I have found a
new appreciation for dance. Of all the dance performances this semester, my favorite was the
Department Concert. Even though all of the artists were extraordinary to watch, I was able to
connect with the dancers most during the Department Concert. Watching Connecticut College
students perform gave me a different feeling than the other shows. I could relate to the performers
better because I have had conversations with them outside of dance and they have been there as
mentors to me and the other freshmen. This feeling of inclusion was only possible because of the
atmosphere of the department; everyone, regardless of class year, is genuinely welcomed. I also
believe that seeing students perform the work was

Work experience versus a college education. Which of these two is best in helping you to land a
better paying job? Many college graduates may argue that having an Associate Degree or Bachelor
Degree is an essential key to landing a top paying job. People with work experience and skills argue
theyhave an edge over someone with a degree that has no real–worldwork experience. They believe
this gives them an opportunity for a better paying job.Plus, people with work experience do not have
to deal with the added student debt that comes with acquiring such degrees.
When looking through the help wanted ads in newspapers or in employment agencies, you will see
that the higher paying positions usually ask for a college degree. You would think that withouta

Essay On Community Colleges
Article by Ronald L. Trowbridge, Forbes, 3/21/207
Community Colleges Are Not The Minor Leagues Anymore
This article provides an insightful view into the perceived and real status of community colleges in
relation to their university counterparts. Once thought of as a place merely for underachievers to
attend for workforce training, Trowbridge points out these institutions now have more to offer. They
provide an affordable opportunity for students to complete the same courses that are available at the
university for a fraction of the cost. Noting the financial savings in comparison to the traditional
university, along with the overall quality of instruction, local community colleges have become a
viable alternative for those seeking a college education without the incurring unnecessary amounts
of debt.
Community colleges were once looked at as institutions only for those who could not get into the
university, Trowbridge used the term "second–class academic institutions" to describe...show more

While they do have a tremendous focus on workforce development and training, the opportunity to
take a more active role in higher education exists. By adjusting their focus to act as a bridge for
students, the community college has the ability to soften the transition financially and educationally.
Community colleges must move beyond their reliance on open acceptance policies and actively
pursue students who would otherwise attend universities. By offering comparable course tracks that
will challenge and educate they can move even further past the image of being a second class
institution. More focus must be placed on both building articulation agreements with the universities
and educating potential students about the benefits of making the community the next stop on their
education

Connecticut Compromise
Equality in the Senate sparked a lot of debates during the Connecticut compromise. Some argued that
equality in the Senate would lead to state corporate capacity, while others argued this will help
balance the national government. To an extent the reason why a good chunk of the debates focused
on the idea of a balanced Senate, in my opinion, was because this topic the more complicated part of
the Connecticut Compromise. The founders were fairly certain that one of the branches of the
legislator was going to represent each population of the state (there were some concerns regarding
slavery in the southern states; however, it wasn't a major issue during the Connecticut Compromise)
just the founders did not know how to fairly represent the other branch. On June 28th Martin Luther

the small states it would naturally lead to inequality in the Senate. The large states would simply
have to share the same opinion to overpower the Senate. This would lead to the small states in
having no say in what happens in the country. Personally I do not agree with Luther's concerns. It
logically does not make a lot of sense, in my opinion. If every state has equal say there is really no
way that one state can overpower the other. However, I do find the argument about State Corporate
Capacity compelling; treating corporate

The Pros And Cons Of College Writing
Why do some college freshmen find it harder to write an essay in college than in high school?"
College freshmen usually struggle with the transition from high school writing to college writing.
They do not know that the writing in college has a lot of differences. They also do not know that
college writing has different rules. These students get confused with these rules. There are many
other reasons cause these struggles. There are different styles in writing, for example: In college

four to six paragraphs. As a first–year student and English is my second language, I am really

Methods I asked ten freshmen students in my class what are some of the difficulties do they believe
they face when writing a college essay? It took them five minutes to answer this question. As I
suspected, some of the answers I receive has something in common. Some of the students' responses,
the difficulties they face to write an essay are grammatic errors, punctuations, sentence structure, and
organization. Another key thing to remember is that they have problem with wording the sentences
correctly. So, the reader can understand the writing clearly. Likewise, many students have details
and ideas on paper. But sometimes don't know how to organize the writing process. Other student
said that they have trouble to start the first paragraph and and have a lack of motivation. I t takes
them long time to start the essay. Furthermore, some answers were interested. Few students don't
want to stress their self. So, they never think to revise their final draft. One of the problems I
receive is college vocabulary. One student response that his mind stuck on high school vocabulary
and don't know how to use college level vocabulary which make his essay weak. Similarly, I am
really struggling with grammar error, sentence structure, run on–sentence, and organization. One
other hand, I interviewed three junior college. The interview last is fifteen minutes each student. I

College Admissions Essay: The Value Of Divorce
Growing up, money was never a huge issue to my family, not to say I was spoiled, but I was
definitely privileged. I grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut, went to private schools my entire
life, had a stay at home Mom and a hard working Dad. I believed this was how it was always going
to be, until my freshman year of high school. My parents started to fight a lot, especially late at night
as I would lie in my bed feeling my families happiness slip away. My parents decided it would be
best for the family to get a divorce. I believe this was the beginning of my passion for finance, not
because of the constant yelling and screaming that led to the divorce, but the result of the
separation. My Mom met my Dad in college and thought she would spend the rest of her life with
him and foolishly dropped out of college to follow...show more content...

another caddy failed to show up, I would be there. This determination is driven by my constant
grit to be financially independent, but also I did not ever want to make it harder on my parents
by asking for money. To this day my Mom still struggles with money, as many people do because
of unexpected events. This is why I have the passion to pursue finance, because I believe one day I

Education is important in today's society. It is needed for almost everything, from getting a basic

I'm so indecisive about what I want to do for my career, but writing is definitely an option I

attendance was a major issue for me. That is part of the reason I failed classes last year, as well as
catching up on homework was quite hard. My procrastination also did not help. It was very hard,
but one good quality I have in school is I retain information. Which makes schools a lot easier at
times. There are many reason why I despise school, but as I said, education is a major key in life
and success. Learning expands your brain. It can give more opportunities to my future. The more
options the better it will be to have a good paying job and a stable household. So even though I hate

My College Experience : My First Year Of College
My first college experience was at 18 years old, a young 18 I turned 18 in May and moved out of
state to attend a small private college in Indiana in August that same year. Went I graduated

was dedicated and serious about my classroom. My first week of classes, I felt great, I thought
I've got this no problem. Boy was I wrong. I began to struggle just a few week into classes and

move home and go to Ohio State. Thing did not really improve academically for me there and
after 2 semesters I dropped out. At this point I was married and living on our own, I needed to work.
I put my college education on hold for 11 years. During this time, I got a job as a receptionist in an

A Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court Essay
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is an 1889 novel by the American humorist and writer
Mark Twain. The novel is about the tale of a hardheaded New England factory manager in the late
nineteenth century named Hank, who finds himself whisked back to the time of King Arthur. When
he arrives, he clashes with their old time traditions such as wearing hose and burning witches at the
stake. He soon has the whole court at his feet, rising to power and thwarting the nasty schemes of
the wizard Merlin. Hank had a hard time blending in with the new environment, but he ends up
solving that problem. Throughout the novel as readers we can see how Hank was getting annoyed
by how the society worked. Twain demonstrate his feelings toward the society, by stopping the
differences between the nobility and the peasants.
At this time, of the novel nobility had more power over the peasants. For Example, "as a rule, the

  • 1. Knowledge and Technology in A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court is a complicated novel that fundamentally deals with the concept of the human experience. Hank Morgan is a nineteenth century mechanic who is transported back thirteen centuries to medieval Britain, during the time of King Arthur. After his initial shock, he becomes determined to "civilize" Camelot by introducing modern industrial technology. At an initial look Twain seems to be favoring the industrialized capitalist society that he lives in over the feudal society of medieval Britain. But in a closer examination of the work it becomes clear that this observation is much too simple, as the industrial world that Hank Morgan ...show more content... "Here I was, a giant among pigmies, a man among children, a master intelligence among moles..."(Twain 40). Hank forgets his own humanity and begins to believe that his knowledge makes him more of a man, just as the nobility that he shunned believed they were better than the serfs because of the titles they held. Hank Morgan uses his superior knowledge of technology to gain personal power. It soon becomes clear that even though thirteen hundred years have given Hank a technological advantage, they haven't made him any smarter. Twain himself says of Hank, ...this Yankee of mine has neither the refinement nor the weakness of a college education; he is a perfect ignoramus; he is boss of a machine shop; he can build a locomotive or a Colt's revolver, he can put up and run a telegraph line, but he's an ignoramus, nevertheless. (Guttmann 103) Hank possesses all of this technological knowledge, but fails to understand the implications that this knowledge will have on the people of the Camelot. Instead of educating the general public and teaching them how and why something works instead he sends a select few to his "man factories". He uses his knowledge instead to produce fantastic miracles, which although they give him personal power, continue to perpetuate the superstitions of the populace that he is trying to overcome. For example, Hank is asked to fix the well at the Valley of Holiness. He installs a pump that will return the water, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Connecticut has four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Depending on the situations or conditions each weather brings also affects Connecticut's unemployment. For example, in the spring, summer, and fall there are usually outdoor activities such as festivals and outdoor water parks. People tend to spend more time outside or go out more because the weather is warm and not much clothes have to be worn to keep warm. Not to mention people will spend money more when the weather is warm because there is much more to do and see. Employers earn money to make a living with the warm weather jobs. People can enjoy the weather during these seasons and all the while employers are earning money. Therefore, the number of people unemployed is low because Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. In chapter three of The Nuts and Bolts of College Writing, Michael Harvey focuses on flow. He explains consistency of character usage in sentences, additionally with appropriate pronouns and linking words. In sentences, pronouns should refer to their nouns in a neat fashion. This makes passages easier to follow, preventing confusion from arising. Furthermore, characters should be used consistently. The writer controls the flow from one character to another, and they should not be jumbled. If there are several characters, the sequences should introduce each one methodically. Punch lines are also important in combining sentences from a familiar start to new information. Additionally, introductory prepositional phrases are recommended if the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

(Carter, n.d.) The launch of AIM satellite allowed for the study of the "night clouds," and what dynamics triggered the formation of them, such as the temperature, dust and water vapor. It was believed that these clouds had an impact on the climate around the globe. Hampton University, under the direction of Dr. James M. Russell, was responsible for the entire mission. The state of the art facility is the largest of its kind in the world at over 98,000 square feet. • 5. My Life As A College Student Essay Over the course of the last semester, I grew tremendously, not just as a writer but as a student. I learned skills and tactics that will last me throughout my life and will benefit me once I begin the next four years of my life as a college student. This early gateway into college writing provided me with exposure to the expectations that I will face in the college classroom. This will come in handy in the English classroom, as well as in every subject I will face over the course of the next four years, and beyond. Writing is a key skill that communicates ideas and information, and is essential to being successful. Whether I go into the music industry or find myself in a completely unforeseen career, it is certain that I will use my writing skills at some point. This class sharpened those skills and prepared me for the future in ways no high school english class could. This class has challenged me to think more in depth than I ever have before. It forced me to use my writing as a means of expressing knowledge, ideas, and facts in a clear organized manner. In order to accomplish the goals of each paper assigned, I found new ways to present the same information. For example, in every essay I included the theme that governments should be more involved in the fight against cyber warfare. However, I presented this idea in each paper in different forms. In the summary, I simply stated what an author of a certain article had to say about this idea. In the critique, I discussed Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 7. Essay on Working in College Working in College Executive Summary Students are increasingly likely to work while in college. Since 1984, the fraction of college students aged 16 to 24 who also work full– or part–time has increased from 49 to 57 percent. Not only are students more likely to work today, but they are more likely to work full–time: the share of students working full–time while going to school full–time has nearly doubled, rising from 5.6 percent in 1985 to 10.4 percent in 2000. In 2000, 828,000 full–time students worked full–time, compared to 366,000 in 1985. Working students can be categorized into two groups: those who primarily identify themselves as students but who work in order to pay the bills, and those who are first and foremost...show more content... In 2000, nearly 830,000 full–time college students worked full–time. Because of the adverse effects of such full–time work, tens of thousands of these college students are likely to drop out of school and fail to receive a college degree. Working a limited number of hours (e.g., 10 hours a week) at an on–campus job appears to have positive impacts on student performance, while working a significant 2 number of hours (e.g., 35 hours or more per week) has adverse consequences. It is unclear at what point student employment moves from being beneficial to being counterproductive. But the difference between graduating from college and not graduating from college may involve a change in work schedules that would have a modest impact on student earnings relative to the lifetime gains from completing college. For example, reducing hours worked by 10 hours (from 35 hours per week to 25 hours per week) would reduce a student's annual earnings during the school year by roughly $2,250. Such potential earnings pale in comparison to the lifetime gains from completing college. Since full–time work appears to have negative effects on student enrollment rates and perhaps also on academic performance, it is therefore of particular concern that fulltime work among full–time college students has risen sharply over the past 15 Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. My greatest accomplishment is standing where I am right now. Life is a constant work–in–progress and that all moments, the monumental huge ones and the small quiet ones, all makeup who I am. Having lived in different countries, I've been cultivated by various topics (i.e. science, ideologies, and entertainment) into a multifaceted person and global citizen. Throughout my life, I have been able to connect with people from different backgrounds and build valuable relationships. In August 2009 at the age of 23, I moved to the United States for graduate school without having any family or friends. Since then, I received my Ph.D. in Biomedical engineering and worked for several top technology companies. I have made many friends and built a diverse and strong network around the world. Our reactions to failures define our future roadmap to success or more failures. I have always learned from my missteps and have never stopped moving forward. • 9. My Experience In A College Class "Welcome Class to Composition one." Those words were voiced by my professor, Mrs. Robinson, on the first day of school. Initially, I thought to myself, do I even belong in this college course class. Before school had even begun, the stress over the summer about my English skills was eating me alive. Why? Well, in my past English classes I received A's on all of my essays, but this college class did not seem so easy. Also, I was always fascinated by all the arts and sciences, but English never struck interest in me. I never thought that I could write any decent essays. The reason I insecure about my writing skills was because of the ACT. Since the ACT is the talk about how smart an individual is, my ACT score was not very high. As the course continued, the firstessay approached quickly. I remember being stressed about this essay because of my writing insecurities. Although I managed to acquire a decent grade, I promised myself to strive to make myself a better writer. I started to read Norton Field Guide to Writing handbook also known as the yellow book, and slowly but surely started to develop knowledge of good writing skills and tips to improve my essays. This allowed me to grow as a writer and slowly my insecurities started to dwindle, and I began to gain confidence in myself. I never would've thought that the next time I took the ACT that my English score would be my highest. When getting my score back and realizing that I had improved so much, I began to wonder how I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My Experience At Connecticut College "When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain point on the floor, it's to enjoy each step along the way." (Wayne Dwyer) There is no description or analogy more accurate to describe my experience both watching and performing dance this past semester at Connecticut College. As a freshman, it was difficult to move forward with dance in a new environment since I have had the same dance experience for 15 years. I found myself equating movements and steps to styles more known to me; I was searching for comfort among the abundance of unfamiliarity. The challenge was to embrace modern dancing for everything it entailed. Through watching both professional dancers and other students, as well as improving my personal technique, I certainly feel that I have found a new appreciation for dance. Of all the dance performances this semester, my favorite was the Department Concert. Even though all of the artists were extraordinary to watch, I was able to connect with the dancers most during the Department Concert. Watching Connecticut College students perform gave me a different feeling than the other shows. I could relate to the performers better because I have had conversations with them outside of dance and they have been there as mentors to me and the other freshmen. This feeling of inclusion was only possible because of the atmosphere of the department; everyone, regardless of class year, is genuinely welcomed. I also believe that seeing students perform the work was Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Work experience versus a college education. Which of these two is best in helping you to land a better paying job? Many college graduates may argue that having an Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree is an essential key to landing a top paying job. People with work experience and skills argue theyhave an edge over someone with a degree that has no real–worldwork experience. They believe this gives them an opportunity for a better paying job.Plus, people with work experience do not have to deal with the added student debt that comes with acquiring such degrees. When looking through the help wanted ads in newspapers or in employment agencies, you will see that the higher paying positions usually ask for a college degree. • 12. Essay On Community Colleges Article by Ronald L. Trowbridge, Forbes, 3/21/207 Community Colleges Are Not The Minor Leagues Anymore This article provides an insightful view into the perceived and real status of community colleges in relation to their university counterparts. Once thought of as a place merely for underachievers to attend for workforce training, Trowbridge points out these institutions now have more to offer. They provide an affordable opportunity for students to complete the same courses that are available at the university for a fraction of the cost. Noting the financial savings in comparison to the traditional university, along with the overall quality of instruction, local community colleges have become a viable alternative for those seeking a college education without the incurring unnecessary amounts of debt. • 13. Connecticut Compromise Equality in the Senate sparked a lot of debates during the Connecticut compromise. Some argued that equality in the Senate would lead to state corporate capacity, while others argued this will help balance the national government. To an extent the reason why a good chunk of the debates focused on the idea of a balanced Senate, in my opinion, was because this topic the more complicated part of the Connecticut Compromise. The founders were fairly certain that one of the branches of the legislator was going to represent each population of the state (there were some concerns regarding slavery in the southern states; however, it wasn't a major issue during the Connecticut Compromise) just the founders did not know how to fairly represent the other branch. On June 28th Martin Luther argued that and...show more content... 203 Madison's Notes). What Martin Luther is saying is that if the large states had as much say as the small states it would naturally lead to inequality in the Senate. The large states would simply have to share the same opinion to overpower the Senate. This would lead to the small states in having no say in what happens in the country. Personally I do not agree with Luther's concerns. It logically does not make a lot of sense, in my opinion. If every state has equal say there is really no way that one state can overpower the other. However, I do find the argument about State Corporate Capacity compelling; treating corporate Get more content on HelpWriting.net

To this day my Mom still struggles with money, as many people do because of unexpected events. This is why I have the passion to pursue finance, because I believe one day I can help people manage their current financials so that they can endure hardships that I know can come from unforeseen events. I hate to see people be unhappy and struggle with life because of financial issues, that is why I am motivated and inspired to be a successful financial Get more content on HelpWriting.net
