2. 26 JANUARY INDIA’S REPUBICDAY
• The main Republic Day celebration is held in
the national capital, New Delhi, at
the Rajpath before the President of India. On
this day, ceremonious parades take place at the
Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to
India; its unity in diversity and rich cultural
heritage.
3. A truly global event taking place every year
on 4 February, World Cancer Day unites
the world’s population in the fight against
cancer.
It aims to save millions of preventable
deaths each year by raising awareness and
education about the disease, pressing
governments and individuals across the
world to take action.

5. 22 MARCH WORLD DAY FOR WATER
World Water Day is an annual
observance day on 22 March to
highlight the importance of
freshwater. It is also used to
advocate for the sustainable
management of freshwater
resources.
6. The World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year
on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization, as well as
other related organisations. In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health
Assembly

31 May. It is intended to encourage a 24-hour period of abstinence
from all forms of tobacco consumption around the globe.
9. International Day of Yoga, or commonly and
unofficially referred to as Yoga Day, is celebrated
annually on 21 June since its inception in 2015. An
international day for yoga was declared
unanimously by the United Nations General
Assembly.
10. 11 JULY WORLD POPULATIONA DAY World Population day is an annual event, observed on
July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event
was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in
1989.
11. 27 SEPTEMBER WORLD TOURISM DAY
• World Tourism Day (WTD) is held annually on 27 September.
• Its purpose is to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism
and its social, cultural, political and economic value. The event seeks to address global challenges
outlined in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and to highlight the
contribution the tourism sector can make in reaching these goals.
12. 1 DECEMBER World AIDS Day
World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988,
is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS
pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning
those who have died of the disease.
13. 3 DECEMBER WORLD DAY OF THE HANDICAPPED
• International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) is an international
observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. It has been celebrated with
varying degrees of success around the planet. The observance of the Day aims to
promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights
and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to
be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect
of political, social, economic and cultural life. It was originally called "International Day
of Disabled Persons" until 2007.[1] Each year the day focuses on a different issue

Corruption is a complex social, political and
economic phenomenon that affects all countries.
Corruption undermines democratic institutions,
slows economic development and contributes to
governmental instability.
15. 23 DECEMBER NATIONAL FARMAR’S DAY
• National Farmers’ Day (Kisan Diwas) 2018 will be celebrated all
over India on 23rd of December, Sunday.
