Investors sharply reduce their post-close valuations of companies that have completed acquisitions when data breaches are revealed.
Brunswick’s third annual data valuation survey also found that investors raise their post-deal valuations for companies that have demonstrated preparation for cybersecurity issues.
The survey results, which reflect the views of 208 buy-side investors and sell-side analysts across the US, UK, Europe, and Asia, offered good news for companies taking steps to address cybersecurity issues.

Landmark survey predicts that global PR agency sector will approach $20bn by 2020, but questions remain over the industry’s ability to adapt to a rapidly shifting landscape.
Corporate communications executives around the world believe both they and their public relations agency partners will be expected to deliver more—more strategy, more content, more channels, more creativity and more measurement—over the next five years.
But questions remain over the industry’s ability to attract the right talent, adapt to new technologies and increase the level of investment required to capitalize on these opportunities.
These are some of the headline findings from the first Global Communications Report, a comprehensive worldwide survey of more than 1,000 senior public relations executives, led by the USC Annenberg Center for Public Relations in conjunction with the Holmes Report.
According to the study, PR agency leaders predict that the worldwide PR agency business will grow from its current estimated size of $14 billion to $19.3 billion over the next five years. To accommodate this growth, agency leaders anticipate their headcount will increase over the same period by about 26%.
The A-Generation Study, carried out by Burson-Marsteller Africa, showcases six trends that reflect the new attitudes and changing priorities of African youth in 2016. Findings show that young cosmopolitan Africans are taking a bold approach to creating their own futures empowered by a new, technology-enabled world order and the loosening of previously restrictive social hierarchies.

The Burson-Marsteller Age of Trump Technology Policy SurveyBurson-Marsteller
Research for The Burson-Marsteller Age of Trump Technology Policy Survey was conducted by Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) on behalf of Burson-Marsteller to explore attitudes and perceptions about the future of the technology industry. To meet these objectives, PSB conducted an online quantitative study from December 6th to December 13th, 2016 among Technology Elite (n=504) and General Public respondents (n=1000).
All Technology Elites are age 25+ with at least a college education, have a household income of $100,000+ in the coastal regions and $75,000+ in the heartland, live within 30 miles of a city with a significant technology industry presence reflecting a mix of established and start-up technology firms, and follow news about technology closely. The margin of error for the Technology Elites total sample is +/- 4.3% and larger for subgroups. The margin of error for the General Public total sample is +/- 3.00% and larger for subgroups.
Paid Media - It's Not All About The End Game!Koozai
So many people focus their efforts when it comes to paid media on the buying stage of the customer purchase funnel but this is a huge mistake. Not focusing any attention on the other sections of the funnel simply means that advertisers are only capitalising on a small slice of the pie.
In this slide deck you will learn 32 different strategies that will help you to channel your audience through the funnel from being completely unaware of your brand right the way through to getting customers to recommend your business to their friends and family.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
