· We use the past continuous to describe a situation in the past.
· To describe an image / photo
• ·My friends and I were watching a film.
• ·We were eating pop-corn.
• ·I wasn’t eating sweets.
• -Were you drinking cola?
• -Yes, we were.
• -Were you scared about the movie?
• -No, we weren’t
4. Past continuous examples
·Affirmative: SB + Was / Were – ing + complement
·I was waiting for my sister.
·We were dancing in the party.
·Negative: SB + wasn’t / weren’t + Complement
·He wasn’t drinking cola at the party.
·You weren’t studying last friday.
·Question: (Inversion) Was / Were + SB + Ing + Comp + ?
·Was your dad preparing the dinner?
·Were your parents going at the restaurant that day?
