Halloween is one holiday that almost all kids as well as adults love to celebrate. It offers a
wide range of opportunities to spend time together, creating spooky decorations, coming up
with creative costumes, and baking deliciously fun treats!
These great Halloween treats are tasty and easy enough to make that the kids can even
make them on their own. This can help provide a great sense of accomplishment, boost
self-confidence and perhaps even instill a love of baking.

Super Easy S’Mores
Everyone loves s’mores and you don’t have to go camping or build a roaring fire to make
these gooey-licious chocolate-hazelnut s’more treats. Just spread 4 chocolate graham
cracker squares with chocolate-hazelnut spread and 4 chocolate graham cracker squares
with marshmallow crème. Press the chocolate covered and marshmallow covered cracker
squares together like a sandwich. Place them onto a microwave-safe plate, uncovered, and
microwave on high for about 30 seconds. Sprinkle the edges that ooze out with Halloween
colored nonpareils.
Peek-a-Boo Monsters
To make these monstrously delectable
treats, start with premade cupcakes
(chocolate is a great choice), and then let
your child create his or her own silly
Halloween monster. For the eyes, you
might use a thin white wafer (like Neccos)
sliced in half with two mini candy-coated
chocolates for the pupils. Sour candy corn
works well to create spiky hair. Of course,
your child can use just about anything for
his or her own unique creation.

2. Haunting PB & J
This is an interesting twist for the holiday on a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
This lunchtime favorite gets a Halloween makeover by using a ghost-shaped cookie cutter.
Let your child help punch out the shape and add raisins to create spooky eyes.
If you’re trying to figure out a way to sneak in some nutritious veggies along with that
sandwich, consider slicing up vegetables into sticks that can be used to create a skeleton. A
small container of dip at the top is perfect for the head! Getting kids in on the creative
process is a good way to encourage them to eat the results too.
