2. Establishing shots
It starts off with an extreme long shot to set the scene. Then we
get a long shot as images are seen as life sized. We get a
medium shot of the girls in the car. After the girls in both cars
get a medium shot they both get a medium close up to
emphasize their facial expressions and emotions. The camera
then pans upwards to show a long shot of the school so we
know where the opening scene is set.

3. Mise en Scene
The girls in the car show Mise en Scene. The girl driving the car
is the most important character that is why she is at the front
of the car and she gets a close up. The two girls in the back
of the car are not that important therefore they don’t get
shown as much. The ‘mean’ girl goes to a wall with a poster
on and rips it off showing she is not very nice or popular.

4. Lighting and Sound
The sound at the beginning of the scene is non diagetic
because the characters cant hear it. Then it turns into
diagetic because the music is coming from the characters
cars so they can hear it. This also links in with character
representation as the music coming from the car on the
right was louder and overshadowed the first girls car,
therefore showing she is more powerful and daunting. The
lighting starts off with it in the morning so it is light and
we can clearly see all the characters. The girls in the first
car are in a convertible therefore lots of light is getting to
them making them seem very innocent, however the girl
sitting in the car next to them has a very dark back ground
making her look unsociable and not very welcoming to talk
to.
