formed in 1980

Scarborough
0 1984, obtained formal links with the United Way of
Greater Toronto
4. Tropicana Community Service
Tropicana addresses issues affecting youth, newcomers
and member of the Caribbean and Black communities
Service Provided:
0 Counselling
0 Tutoring
0 Youth Leadership Programs
0 Settlement Services
5. Tropicana is made up of numerous divisions:
0 Main Office: Where many Tropicana programs are facilitated .
0 AYCE Employment Services: helping youth and adults with
employment.
0 Children of Tomorrow Daycare: provide children with a safe
and enriching environment.
0 ProTech Media Centre: free digital arts and technology training
0 Scarborough Youth Resource Center: provides opportunities
for all youth

Iqbal
0 12 years old Iqbal lost his life defending the rights of
children
0 This message sparked Craig’s passion to protect the
rights of children
0 Craig gathered students from his Grade 7 class and
created Free The Children
