Developing IoT cloud platforms is very challenging, as IoT cloud platforms consist of a mix of cloud services and IoT elements, e.g., for sensor management, near-realtime events handling, and data analytics. Developers need several tools for deployment, control, governance and analytics actions to test and evaluate designs of software compo- nents and optimize the operation of di erent design con gurations. In this paper, we describe requirements and our techniques on support- ing the development and testing of IoT cloud platforms. We present our choices of tools and engineering actions that help the developer to design, test and evaluate IoT cloud platforms in multi-cloud environments.

The main way to “go cloud” has proved to be, for security and economic reasons, hybrid : mixing private with public. Moving to Cloud PaaS is then requires to: manage the lifecycle of applications over different cloud providers; mask the heterogeneity; automate the deployment whatever the application technology and execution environment are, etc. This is what tackles OpenCloudware, which aims at enabling flexible multi-cloud applications thanks to a full automated think-build-run chain. In the presentation we present a sample from OpenCloudware results demonstrating in particular a complete mechanism, comprising: application selection, deployment, benchmarking. OpenCloudware supports many IaaS infrasctructures, including OpenStack (via OW2stack). OpenCloudware is supported by the French administration through its IT support program "Fond National pour la Société Numérique".

Effective resource management in IoT systems must represent IoT resources, edge-to-cloud network capabilities, and cloud resources at a high-level, while being able to link to diverse low-level types of IoT devices, network functions, and cloud computing infrastructures. Hence resource management in such a context demands a highly distributed and extensible approach, which allows us to integrate and provision IoT, network functions, and cloud resources from various providers. In this paper, we address this crucial research issue. We first present a high- level information model for virtualized IoT, network functions and cloud resource modeling, which also incorporates software- defined gateways, network slicing and data centers. This model is used to glue various low-level resource models from different types of infrastructures in a distributed manner to capture sets of resources spanning across different sub-networks. We then develop a set of utilities and a middleware to support the integration of information about distributed resources from various sources. We present a proof of concept prototype with various experiments to illustrate how various tasks in IoT cloud systems can be simplified as well as to evaluate the performance of our framework.

OCCI (Open Cloud Computing Interface ) [1] is an open protocol for management tasks in the cloud environment focused on integration, portability and interoperability with a high degree of extensibility. It is designed to bridge differences between various cloud platforms (or cloud middleware) and provide common ground for users and developers alike. The rOCCI framework [2], originally developed by GWDG [3], was written to simplify the implementation of the OCCI 1.1 protocol in Ruby and later provided the base for a working client and server implementation targeting OpenNebula as its primary back-end cloud platform. The initial server-side implementation provided basic functionality and served as a proof of concept when it was adopted by the EGI Federated Cloud Task Force [4] and chosen to act as the designated VM management interface. This led to further funding from EGI-InSPIRE [5] and involvement of CESNET [6]. This talk aims to provide basic information about the OCCI protocol, introduce its implementation in rOCCI, describe and/or demonstrate some of the functionality provided by rOCCI client and rOCCI-server in concert with OpenNebula. It also briefly examines its use in the EGI FedCloud environment and explores the possibility of further integration with OpenNebula as a part of the ON ecosystem or even as an integral part of OpenNebula itself in the future. All this with interoperability in mind. Bio: CESNET (Czech Education and Scientific Network provider) offers long-term experience in cloud and hybrid grid/cloud solutions through NGI activities and participates in the EGI Federated Cloud Task Force as a resource and technology provider contributing a testbed based on the OpenNebula cloud management framework and exposing an OCCI service endpoint which is based on the current rOCCI-server implementation. It also runs its own private experimental HPC cloud infrastructure based on OpenNebula. Boris Parak is one of the lead developers of the rOCCI project with numerous major commits and principal author of the rOCCI client. He is also a system administrator and a member of the team responsible for designing, building, developing and maintaining CESNET’s private HPC cloud — MetaCloud, as well as a member of the EGI Federated Cloud Task Force on behalf of CESNET.

These concerns have prompted calls for comprehensive regulations to ensure the safe and equitable use of AI technologies. Artificial intelligence has also played a significant role in healthcare, particularly highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic, where it was used in drug discovery, vaccine development, and analyzing the spread of the virus. The capabilities of AI in healthcare are vast, ranging from medical diagnostics to personalized medicine, demonstrating the technology's potential to revolutionize fields beyond just technical or consumer applications. In conclusion, AI continues to be a rapidly evolving field with significant implications for various aspects of society.
