Pupils on mini whiteboards write down numbers 1-3. They choose one answer which they believe is the odd one out. They write the word which is the odd one out and in brackets in English write why they have picked that word. There is no correct answer, the thinking skill is that they make the judgement. The explanation of choice is more important in many ways than the answer. They share answers with the group ticking having chosen and answer and smiley face for an explanation. They show you their boards so you assess whole class at once.
Share slide with pupils- get them to read it out. They only write top one out in their books.
Pupils write down on mini whiteboards the words on the left. They have to match them with words on right according to the gender of thw adjectives- just gently remind them to look very carefully at the words on the left before they match them. Don’t remind them about o/ a etc patterns, this is for them to remember and tell you at end of activity (see next slide)
Pupils are then given the task of working out what the rule is for making adjectives plural in Spanish. Look to next slide for their checklist of things they have to detect.
