1. Assignment 2 task 1
I am going to produce an advert which will be uploaded onto a website for a
company called Frizzy Drink Inc. The advert will be about 30-60 seconds long and will
be advertised on YouTube as an advert before a video. The funding for the advert will
be funded by the company Frizzy Drink Inc and lottery funded.
Camera operator
Camera Operators perform a vital role within the camera department on feature
films. They support the Director of Photography and the Director, by exactly carrying
out their instructions about shot composition and development. Camera Operators
usually begin work at the end of pre-production and sometime if they have enough
budget they will attend the technical recces with other Heads of Department. The
whole comfort with which the camera moves is the key to the descriptionrun of
feature films and is the Camera Operators responsibility. They are usually the first
people to use the camera's eye piece to consider how all the features of
performance, composition, lighting, art direction and camera movement come
together to make the cinematic experience.
Sound
Sound is vital to the creative media industries and sound personnel work across all
production areas. They confirm that the highest quality sound in live events and
outside broadcasts, capture the performance of artists on set and on location, edit
dialogue and music and create original sound effects to work with visual images.
Lighting
The Lighting department forms a subset of a larger working group known as
Production Technical. People working in the lighting department set up and operate
special lights to brighten the scene being filmed and to create a specific mood or
visual style. This requires selecting the correct lighting equipment, connecting the
lights to electrical mains with special cabling and using many accessories like filters
and screens.
Editor
Video editor is responsible for gathering raw material into a finished product suitable
for broadcasting. The material they work with may contain of camera footage,
dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects. This is a key role in the post
production process and the editor's skill can decide the quality and delivery of the
final product. The editor may be part of a team and they will usually work closely
with the director to achieve the chosen end result.
