1. Scope of work
Installation of Fm200 in CCTV & Fire panel system rooms
Background. FM-200® is a colourless, liquefied compressed gas. It is stored as a liquid and
dispensed into the hazard as a colourless, eclectically non-conductive vapour that is clear and
does not obscure vision. It leaves no residue and has acceptable toxicity for use in occupied spaces
at design concentration. FM-200® does not displace oxygen and therefore is safer for use in
occupied spaces without fear of oxygen deprivation
FM-200, FE-241, Halon 1301 and Aero-K Aerosol fire suppression systems for marine vessels,
industrial, electronics and computer room applications.
• Scope/ Objective. To change the current extinguishing system in the CCTV & Fire panel system
rooms by FM200 gas to prevent the electronic equipment from damage in case of alarm. And
because in some cases the data we have on the recording system is more important than the
equipment itself.
• Applicable Documents. As per the request Of Mr.Haitam (Managing Director) we need to
provide a document from civil defence which can proof the necessity of this work. But for your
information this system is not a must by civil defence but it’s for our benefit because we spent a lot
of money to get these materials and we are the only responsible for its safety.
• Place of Performance. The performance of this work should be done in the CCTV & Fire panel
system room including the installation of the FM200 tank which can be inside or outside of those
two rooms but not far away.
• Alternative solution. In case if the management didn’t approve this project, we will have to
remove the sprinkler system from those two rooms and to provide only portable fire extinguishers,
Which is not professional at all for a big company like aspire.
