I wanted to show you this slide because it contains some Web 2.0 terminology and buzz words.
The creation of Web 2.0 tools is exploding. There are new tools available almost every day, many of them free or low cost. This slide shows many Web 2.0 tools. Don’t get overwhelmed by all that is available. Instead, focus on what you what to do with the technology to achieve your teaching and learning goals.
This slide shows 4 categories of social media tools: expressing, networking, sharing, gaming. Each category ties into social platforms.
Social media tools assist in helping educators move away from knowledge delivery towards collaborative inquiry with students actively constructing knowledge together.
The icons represent one of many tools used for the application. Also listing one of many ideas for each tool application.
The last 4 slides are just a few of the many “inspiring ways” to use social media in the classroom. The ideas were culled from the web site listed on the resources page.
An actual conversation between educators on Facebook about using Twitter/Facebook status updates in their classroom. (From my wall.)
