OBJECTIVE
To provide students with the opportunity
to apply what they have learned in English
and Social Studies by getting them to
collaborate with each other to create an
authentic, real world product that will be
             showcased online.

                                               SNAPSHOTS

                                                           3
THE SCENARIO
You are an officer from the United Nations who has
been sent on a fact nding mission to XXX country
(depending on the topic you choose for your project)

                                                   SNAPSHOTS

                                                               4
THE SCENARIO
The United Nations Security Council has
appointed you to investigate the reports
of con ict and violence in that country.

                                         SNAPSHOTS

                                                     5
THE SCENARIO
Instead of interviewing key officials from each side,
you spend your trip talking to ordinary people and
taking photos and video clips of their experiences

                                             SNAPSHOTS

                                                         6
THE SCENARIO
After 1 week, you have gathered enough information
to write your report. You are eager to inform the
Security Council of what you have learned!

                                            SNAPSHOTS

                                                        7
THE SCENARIO
BUT... ights out of XXX are limited and you nd
yourself stuck at the airport for 2 days. You manage to
convince the airline to provide you with internet
access you need to submit your report

                                                SNAPSHOTS

                                                            8
THE SCENARIO
You realize that writing a report without the
multimedia (photos and video) you have collected
would not give the Security Council a clear picture of
the situation. You decide to create a GLOG instead.

                                               SNAPSHOTS

                                                           9
