Economies around the world are struggling with slow growth as such there is little government can do to stimulate the economy. The big issue facing the world economy is inflated housing prices as well as household debt.

 Minister of Finance comment “hat’s what you’re seeing … We will continue to make those investments,”
Morneau said in Toronto.
 “It will result in, we believe, stronger economic activity. Obviously, the money actually has to flow into the
economy for that increase in economic activity to happen and we think that we’ll start to see the results of that
now and through the course of the next several quarters.”

 Slow growth will persist for the near-term
 The impact of carbon pricing/tax has not reach the economy
 Federal Government child tax benefit and tax cuts have not help retail
sales. 2/3 of the economy in Canada is driven by retail sales
 Canadians are paying down debt
