Separation of Lanthanides/ Lanthanides and Actinides
Question 4 evaluation (rohit)
1. 4) How did you use new media
technologies in the construction and
research, planning and evaluation
stages?
Rohit Paul
2. I phone 5s
For the recording of our film
trailer we chose to use
Curtis’s I phone 5s as it
takes videos and pictures in
good quality. It was simple
to use the 5s to record and
take pictures because all
you had to do was press the
red button in the middle of
the phone. Having the
memory of 32GB means we
had enough memory for all
pictures and video footage
and still have space to
spare.
3. MacBook Air
At first I found it difficult to
use edit software's on the
MacBook as the it was high
tech and mostly touch which
was a bit complicated, after
Curtis helping me I found it
much easier to create a
poster as simple and quicker
to use for example only using
one hand for editing and
shortcuts.
4. Computers
For all my media products (Film
trailer/ magazine/poster) I had
to use a computer to edit and
create it. I had used the schools
computer to create my
productions as the they had all
the editing and creating
systems that were simple to
use and also easy to access. I
did not use my computer at
home as it did not have the
software's that were needed to
create my media products.
5. www.dafont.com
The fonts provided on
word and photo shop
wasn’t really what I was
looking for, after looking
at various other websites
like www.picnic.com I
thought dafont had the
right amount of font that
would suite our film
products. Using the fonts
provided by this website
helped us create the
magazine and posters so it
would look good and
suitable for the target
audience.
6. www.picnik.com
At first I was looking into using a
font from Picnik as it had more
creative fonts from the ones on
word. I ended up not using this
website as you have to the pay
for the fonts.
7. YouTube
I used YouTube mostly for
research to look at different
professional and student film
trailers to gather ideas from.
I used the IFC films opening
clip from YouTube into my
film trailer opening.
8. Slide share
For slide hare I used it as
research to look at other
students work for ideas and to
see what they have done for
there media productions. I also
used it to upload one answer in
this form of slide share as it can
be viewed on the internet.
9. Adobe Photoshop
This was my first time using photo shop so I wasn’t really familiar with how some
of the key aspects worked. After having my Media teacher help me on how to use
some key tools it then became clear on what went where and what I needed to
edit. After exploring what I can do with the software I now know it well and find
myself more using Photoshop more as find it staright forward to make posters
and magazine covers.
10. Adobe Premier Pro
At first I found adobe premier
hard until we had a professional
editor come in to guide us
through the key ways on how
create and edit a film trailer.
Now I am confident to move
clips and add effects to the
footages to create a flowing
scene.
11. Google Blogger
At first I found this
a bit complicated
as I was not familiar
but after playing
around on the blog
I got used to how it
works. Now I find
Google blogger
very helpful and
useful as I am able
to upload all my
work online.
