Advertising is a necessary part of modern consumer society, according to the author. While some see advertising as invasive, it allows companies to connect with consumers and informs people about available products and services. The author acknowledges that advertising aims to create consumer needs and desires. However, advertising also plays an important economic role in supporting media companies and the exchange of supply and demand. While advertising may bombard society, it is an integral part of the current consumer culture. Advertising today is an authentic and true work of art. Artworks that are used to attract
consumers. As much as we wish, we cannot live outside of the advertising. We see advertising
on television, on radio, in newspapers and on the Internet network, although there are many who
hate persons about advertising, since it is invasive and often interrupts a good movie. The reason
that this feeling persists, is because the society are full of discontent. But often through
advertising we also discover things that can cover our needs, or any product that facilitates our
lives. Dr. Enrique Rojas, a psychiatrist doctor and Spanish philosopher, said that “consumerism
has strong roots in mass advertising and the bombarding us deal that creates false needs” (Rojas,
Page 12). This consumerism that the Spanish intellectual complaint is the fact that moves the
hand of advertising. This is quite important to understand, because otherwise we would never
aware of the products available on the market. Advertising “is a mass medium” (IFES, Page 48)

demand in the current consumer society.
But ask if advertising is a necessary evil of society or no, and the answer is that unfortunately is
necessary. The advertising sends a message to a large number of people with one
communication. The reason for a lot of publicity is because the programs need to pay the
expenses, for example on public television you could not see any program, since it is through
advertising, and they pay the higher cost of the broadcast. But understand the current advertising
if it is useful or not?
Understand the current advertising begins only in so far as we admit that advertising is first and
foremost a device whose purpose is to transform the economic goods in cultural institutions.
Only then is it possible to understand much of the behaviors, attitudes, feelings of the public to
Advertising and to the brands, the sacrifices of consumers to purchase a car that is above their
means or obsession for many young brands. Keep thinking in advertising only in economic terms
or marketing, leads inevitably to not explain more than a minimal part of what advertising is
actually the most obvious and most pilgrims “(Requero & Lopez, Page 7).
Every day society is bombing with TV ads, newspapers, letters and sales calls. But although it
may be heavy and sometimes it can be too much, it is a necessary evil in this society, like it or
not, is a consumer society. Advertising is an important marketing communications mix element.
It serves as a bridge between consumers and suppliers and is an important device for
transforming the economic goods in cultural institutions. But only when it is understood, is that
you can glimpse the hidden reasons that motivate people to buy a luxury car, luxury apparel
brand; even they not needed.
3. But only “define advertising as a selling tool is roll it back into the past … but even identify with
a form of persuasive communication is to simplify the complexity of its operational plot”
(Requero & Lopez, Page 7). Because of this complex plot, we cannot say it’s a bad necessary,
but if advertising is a necessary evil, the solution would make it more attractive, more functional.
But this is the task of creative, responsible for marketing of the brand, from designing
advertising worthwhile investment, without feeling the fear of not being able to recover their
money invested.
In conclusion, I want to say that advertising is a very important marketing tool, which allows to
show the products available on the market, useful for human consumption. You cannot live
outside marketing offers, although many times we feel invaded by so many unwanted
advertising. We see advertising on television, on radio, in newspapers and on the Internet
network. And although there are many people around who hate advertising, for this current
consumerist society based on the laws of supply and demand, will be impossible without the
advertising marketing subsist. It is the bridge between consumers and suppliers of products. We
can’t say it is a necessary evil, even if it is true that companies saturate the population through
the means to achieve their goal of moving human’s impulses for consumption.
