Neil French
Commercial Director
Co-founder of Penknife, Neil has over 20 years experience working
in Marketing.
He has his fingers in everything ‘Penknife’ and ensures quality is
never compromised and client budgets are always achieved and
never exceeded. Meticulous in everything he undertakes and with
his ‘can do’ attitude Neil loves problem solving, used by many of
our clients to help them deliver the impossible – never letting
them down!
Prior to Penknife he has held roles in production and project
management for one of UK’s largest agency groups sourcing,
buying and managing complex production based projects, including
delivering over 1 million pan European pieces for Apple.
Neil started his career worked for 5 years in the print industry and
his knowledge of the latest print innovations and techniques is
unrivalled. Neil is always looking into ways to save money without
compromising the final deliverable.
Paul Cushway
Creative Director
Co-founder of Penknife, Paul has 20+ years held in senior creative roles
(previously Creative Director of Holmes  Marchant Communications and
HMC Technology Marketing) Paul is the ‘creative nucleus’ of Penknife.
He is an experienced, established, forward thinking, Creative Director
who comes from an illustration and creative background. Over the
years he has established, developed, grown and managed successful
creative departments and teams – including building a team of 20 for
one of the UK’s largest agency groups.
Paul has worked on numerous global blue chip accounts including;
Apple, Bombardier, BMW, Electronic Arts, Ford, Disney Pixar and
Vodafone, and across many market sectors creating local, pan-
european and global campaigns.
He works at strategic level through to concept, execution and delivery.
He is highly experienced with skills including; digital, print, advertising,
direct mail, point-of-sale and branding.
Paul brings creativity, energy and enthusiasm to every project and
adding value is always his ultimate goal.

Anthony Cottee
Digital Director
Anthony has over 8 years creative experience delivering branding,
advertising, direct-mail, print and digital media. He has the unique
ability of combining outstanding creativity with great technical
programming ability. This ensures Penknife’s digital work always
works and looks super slick.
His digital knowledge base is extensive. Over the years he has
constantly pushed the barriers with Penknife’s digital offer and is
always looking to the next ‘big thing’.
Anthony has worked on many global projects for clients including;
Amdocs, Autoglym, Citrix, Diageo, Land Securities and Wall Street
English and brings this extensive experience to our client base.
Allan Williams
Associate Director
Allan has over 30 years experience in the Design and Marketing Industry.
Originally trained as a designer specialising in typography and print
production, he gained valuable experience working “hands on” in both
local companies and in Central London agencies.
Developing a talent for project management he moved across into
Account Management and Business Development bringing his
organisational skills and attention to detail to both the benefit of client
and agency.
Allan’s experience expands across a variety of clients – both B2B and
B2C, small and large, local, national and international. Clients span
many market sectors including; education, consumer electronics,
market research, financial services, charities, logistics and many more.
Allan’s many years in the industry provide a depth of understanding of
marketing communications and customer service.
