4. •Oriental Insurance Company Ltd came into existence
on 12th of September 1947 in Bombay.
•A completely owned subsidiary of the Oriental
Government Security Life Assurance Company
Ltd, the company was brought to existence for
carrying out General Insurance business.
•From the years 1956 to 1973, the company was a Life
Insurance Corporation of India subsidiary.
5. In the year 2003 all the shares of the company that was
originally held by General Insurance Corporation of India
was transferred to the Central Government.
Oriental Insurance has its head Office located at New
Delhi. It consists of 30 Regional Offices and more than
900 operating Offices situated in different cities in India.
The Company also has overseas operations operating in
Nepal, Kuwait and Dubai.

22. • In the event of death or permanent total disablement
of the Insured due to accident , the Policy shall also
provide compensation towards education fund for the
dependent children.
• If the Insured Person has one dependant child below
the age of 23 years on the date of accident , an
amount equal to 10% of original Sum Insured as
specified in the PA section of the policy subject to
maximum of Rs.5,000

23. Loss of money drawn as wages and salaries by any
cause whilst in the Insured premises and until paid
out.
The proposer should indicate the estimated amount
of money in transit during the period of insurance.

safe an route to final destination.

due to permanent total disablement.
• 1% of the original sum insured as specified in The
schedule of insurance of the PA section of this policy
• This benefit is applicable in case of individual policy
holders only.
25. The policy offers Personal Accident cover.
In this policy Death/Permanent Total Disablement ,Loss &
Permanent Partial Disablement reimbursement include.
Hospitalization Expenses as specified under the schedule
of insurance of the policy.
The disability must not be less than 40% in aggregate for
becoming entitled to any claim under Personal Accident
section of this policy.
