In the coming decades, the world will face major challenges,
which can be opportunities for developing economies:
- Supplying the growing demand for food.
- Attending consumption of the middle classes,
which will grow by about 1,500 million people
between 2010 and 2040.
- Strengthening global value chains in low-and
medium-technology.
- ‘Reshoring’ high-tech products, which requires
locations closer to the consumer and do not need
economies of scale.
- Constructing mega trade agreements.
