Letter from the editors.
Dear Sirs and Madams,
Welcome to our fourth edition of the Cultural
Agenda of Baix Ebre and Montsià! It’s our monthly
pleasure to tell you about the festivities and cele-
brations taking place in all the villages of our mu-
nicipalities.
This time, we had to make do with a reduced edi-
torial board, only six of us left! The rest of us hard-
working folks are enjoying the sights and attracti-
ons of Greenwich, in London. They’re staying with
English families and attending English school, so
they can improve their speaking skills and learn
about the culture.
So, only a few of us could participate in the ma-
king of this issue. Enjoy it anyway!

Aldover 23th Sant Jordi Festivities. There are different events like a mass in
honor of the patron of Aldover, called Jordi. And there are
also games, traditional snacks and at the end of the day
there is a popular dance.
Alfara de 23rd Sale of roses and books at the “Plaça Major”.
Carles
Camarles 3th – 4th Easter Fair. There are different activities, one of them is
the “Diada de Crostó” (day of the crusts) where you
can eat traditional foods like sardines, bread, onions,
garlic and tomatoes.
Deltebre 13th Saint George’s Literary Contest. Last day of presentation for
the participants. The prizes will be given on Saint George’s
Day (23rd of April).
31st March - 1st April “La Passió de la Cava” weekend.
There will be a market and a performance that recounts
the historical events of the life, passion and death of Jesus
Christ.

canar. There is some information about Alcanar during the
19th and 20th century. From Thursdays to Sundays, at 17:00.
Els Muntells 23th Saint Jordi’s day
Masdenverge 14th 16:00 Parade around the streets, playing the drums and
widgets.
17:00 Welcoming and photography exposition.
18:00 Speeches.
18:30 Interpretation of some music pieces by students of the
school Rosa Gisbert, recital by the “Unió Musical de Mas
denverge”, poem by Ruben Royo for the occasion and
an audition by the choir Masdenverge.

This is one of the most important festivities during the Holy
Week. It is a theatrical performance about the most impor
tant of the most important events that took place in the
Holy Week many years ago.
La Galera 1st - 15th Wine, olive oil and bread expostion at the Centre d’In-
terpretació de la Terrissa de la Galera.
27th - 1st of May La Terrissa fair. Celebration of the Community
Day, Different Culture Day, and a permanent exposition at the
local museum.
