3. All About Me!
I am a resident of Jackson, MS. I received my undergraduate degree from
Alcorn State University. Lets go Braves!
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, learning new things, and of
course, teaching! My favorite time of the year is Fall.
I look forward to a great year of teaching and learning!
5. Classroom Rules and
Consequences
Rules:
• Come in quietly
• Listen with your ears
• Follow all directions quickly
• Respect others (No talking when
someone else is talking)
• Raise your hand to speak
• Exit room quietly
Consequences:
• Warning
• 5 minutes off recess
• No recess/Free time
• Note to parents
• Office referral
6. Behavior Plan
All students will start on “Ready to Learn”.
They will have a chance to move up for positive behavior and earn “Brave
bucks”. Twice a month, students will be able to use their brave bucks to
purchase snacks, free time, homework passes, etc.
Conversely they will move down for negative behavior. They first have a
“Warning” next there is “5 mins off Recess” then there is “No Recess/ Free
Time” then there is “Parent Contact” and finally there is “Office Referral”.
Please check homework folders nightly for “A note from the teacher”.

8:05- 8:35 Morning work (Do Now)
8:35- 9:00 Morning Meeting
9:00- 10:00 Whole Group ELA
10:00- 10:45 ELA Centers
10:45- 11:25 Independent assignment
11:25- 12:15 Lunch/Recess/Restroom break
12:15-1:15 Whole Group Math
1:15- 2:00 Math Centers/ Independent/ Group Assignment
2:00- 2:45 Science/Social Studies
2:45- 2:55 Clean up/ Prepare to go home

9. Parental Involvement
Parental involvement is very important. There is an open-door policy which
means you are welcome to visit and inquire about the progress of your
child! We would love to also have you volunteer. Ways you can volunteer:
-Read to or with students
-Assist during centers
