Layering media to add unexpected dimension and meaning to your drawings.

1. LAYERS OF INFORMATION:
Obscuring and working over images adds intrigue, mystery,
and frees the artist for being too bound by literal
interpretations of ideas

2. The Archimedes Palimpsest
(a manuscript that has been effaced by later writing over its top)
Originally was a 10th-century Byzantine copy of an otherwise unknown work of Arhcimedes (287 bce)
and other authors on geometry, calculus, and the concept of infinity. It was overwritten by 13th C.
Christina monks, buteh erasure was incomplete and modern X-ray, infrared and other imaging
techniques have now made it readable .

text added subtly on top right
