DESCRIPTION: To compare the deflections bending movements and shear forces of
G+5,10 & 15.
M.Tech Project:
TITLE: “NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF BUCKLING OF THIN CYLENDRICAL
SHELLS”
DESCRIPTION: This project deals with the numerical simulation of buckling of thin
cylindrical shells subjected to 1. Axial compression and 2. External pressure. For study
of these two cases, thin cylinders with Batdrof parameter larger than 100 are considered.
A typical steel cylinder with 0.25m radius and wall thickness of 1mm wit length
satisfying Bat drof parameter is considered in the present analysis. These are subjected to
the above loads and boundary conditions are numerically simulated using ABAQUS 6.3
VERSION. The results of the analysis are compared and presented.
