Descri ption
Pack-Smart feeders are notably rugged paper feeding systems. Solid steel construction ensures stability
and hig h performance even in the toug hest environments resulting in speeds up to 600 products per
minute. Our feeders are capable of handling the lig htest paper and are equally at home when dealing
with heavy stock materials when called upon. Capable of feeding products in dual continuous streams.
An operator friendly unit, the Friction Feeder Series is an ideal feeder when product tracking/monitoring
may be required for pattern gluing or variable image requirements.

5. Sheet Alignment
Module
Function
Aligns the material positioning and spacing of the incoming
carrier.
Descri ption
Setting the position of sheet in both sig ht and travel direction in order to ensure accurate spacing of
each sheet. Fully adjustable lugs make it suitable for odd shaped and die cut products. Product
registration sensors ensure proper feeding of your product and detects any jam or inconsistency.

Transport

Provides smooth, efficient, variable speed transport for host
carrier using heat resistant belts.
Descri ption
The Sectional Vacuum Transports uses 1.5 inch heat resistant belts to carry the host product. Ideal for
any imaging, folding and drying applications. Equi pped with selectable vacuum zones, linear bearing for
ease of adjustment, belt quick change over features and has a universal mounting assembly. When
equi pped with optional Pack-Smart Back Fold Attachment allows for production of 4 directional folds.

Utilized for front fold of products for the paper converting
industry.
Descri ption
Pack-Smart Front / Cross Fold module is capable of producing sophisticated multi panel products for,
direct mail markets as well as packaging and fulfillment markets. Designed to work well with lig hter stock
materials across direction of travel for optimum fold. Folding modules are generally installed on vacuum
transports or friction driven sheet conveying equi pment.

Function
Provides four corner and six corner dependable production at
hig h speeds.
Descri ption
Powered by a programmable digital servo controller and coupled with ultra-low weig ht alloy folding
attachment, The Back Fold module offers reliable 4/6 corner productivity at unmatched speeds. Position
scales provide operator with reference points for repeatability on reoccurring jobs. When equi pped with
regenerative power system DF 30 is able to reduce energy consumption by a factor of 2 when
comparing with competitive products.

Function
Gives operator ability to turn product 90 degrees per station.
Descri ption
Pack-Smarts fully adjustable Bump and Turn module changes direction of product and registers sheet
position for further processing. Made from low friction materials allowing for turning at hig h speeds with
no product damage.

Delivers finished product for hand packing.
Descri ption
The Shingled Delivery Conveyor is designed with several ergonomic features,minimizing fatigue of the
operator when handling products in hig h speed applications. Two stage heig ht adjustment on each end
of the conveyor allows for quick adjustment of table elevation, based on operator preference. Variable
speed with batching ability provides gaps eliminating needs for counting finished product,while increasing
productivity. Clearing jams is handled by rapid acceleration switches located on each side of the
conveyor.

demanding paper finishing customers. Designed with accuracy and functionality in mind the rotary
creasing unit is equi pped with six hardened shafts and quick change over features,as well as "on-the-fly"
depth adjustments. Offline configurations or inline with Pack-Smart or third party integration. A servo
driven control module ensures 100% accurate synchronization with sheet feeding and alignment modules.

The Smart Feeder is a self-contained feeding module with an integrated control system. It has three
modes of operation with external encoder speed features. Built in motion controller equi pped with
customizable reci pes provides via electronic accuracy measured in thousands of an inch. Ability to
batch index, follow and place multi ple inserts on one host carrier. Designed for 24/7 operation with
precision bearings. Quick belt change features provide reliable solution for harsh environments. Available
in 12 inch and 20 inch models.

Function
Utilized to apply metered glue coatings to sheets or webs.
Descri ption
Pack-Smarts Pattern Gluer modules are equi pped with state of the art servo technology and registration
systems for integration with Pack-Smart or third party equi pment. The distinctive advantage of using
Pack-Smarts pattern gluing technology is the ability to produce unlimited shapes of glue and coatings
without changing sheet direction. The Pattern Glue module consists of two Anilox cylinders allowing for
glue application, scented coatings. These cylinders eliminate slinging and increase durability of the
system.

Applicator Module
Function
Feeds and applies the hub required to hold CDs/DVDs.
Descri ption
The CD/DVD Hub Applicator Module will peel and apply individual foam hubs at speeds of 9000
products per hour at a rate of .02 of an inch. When coupled with Pack-Smart disc insertion module it
provides a great solution for any type of media packaging products.

19. Rotary Pick & Place
with Realignment
Function
Uses vacuum pressure to pick up the documents and carry
them to the alignment conveyor.
Descri ption
A servo driven rotary pick and place combined with 4 vacuum pickups capable of feeding multi ple
products from the stack and placing them onto the alignment conveyor. There is a pneumatically
actuated blow off for each pickup which is performed by blowing air into the vacuum pickup to reduce
the vacuum so the sample product is dropped.
